Introduction : A bus stand presents a very lively and busy scene. It is like a musceum of human faces and fashion. Last Monday, I went to see off my friend at the bus stand. There was a great rush. Buses were departing and arriving. The bus for Delhi had not yet arrived. So we had to wait.

Description : There was a great rush of passengers. They were waiting for their buses. The ladies were sitting in groups. The children were playing here and there. Ram Lai, the gardener of our school, looks after it. There are two big play grounds. We play games there daily. Our games teacher also plays with us. Teachers and Students : There are 50 teachers in our school. They are hard working. The school has 2000 students. All work hard. Our school shows good result every year. Sh. T.S. Chauhan is our Principal. He is an ideal Principal. The school is progressing under him. Our school is an ideal one. I am proud of it.

This is the first paragraph of your essay. This is where the writer introduces his topic for the very first time. You can give a very brief synopsis of your essay in the introductory paragraph. Generally, it is not very long, about 4-6 lines. 

This is the main crux of your essays. The body is the meat of your essay sandwiched between the introduction and the conclusion. So the most vital content of the essay will be here. This need not be confined to one paragraph. It can extend to two or more paragraphs according to the content.

This is the last paragraph of the essay. Sometimes a conclusion will just mirror the introductory paragraph but make sure the words and syntax are different. A conclusion is also a great place, to sum up, a story or an argument. You can round up your essay by providing some morals or wrapping up a story. Make sure you complete your essays with the conclusion, leave no hanging threads.

Give your essays an interesting and appropriate title. It will help draw the attention of the reader and pique their curiosity

 Keep it between 300-500 words. This is the ideal length, you can take creative license to increase or decrease it

 Keep your language simple and crisp. Unnecessary complicated and difficult words break the flow of the sentence.

 Do not make grammar mistakes, use correct punctuation and spelling five-paragraph. If this is not done it will distract the reader from the content

Dear Aradhya How have you been? It seems such a long time since we have written to each other. I have been missing you so much lately. Do you remember the travel list we had prepared together and hadn’t really done much about it since? Well, you will be glad to hear that I have crossed Shillong off our list.

Mother and I went to Shillong last July, and I cannot tell you what a beautiful place it turned out to be. Its lush green surroundings left me mesmerized. It is an immensely clean place though I cannot say the same about the main bazaar there. Just being there and taking in the clean, pure aft was. a delight in itself. There are so many lakes, museums and waterfalls to visit there^ We also visited Cherapunji, which is considered to be the wettest place on earth. I really wish you were there with me since you enjoy the rains so much.

Shillong was very clean, something that you would have loved. You know the cleanest village in Asia called Mawlynnong, is situated in Shillong. It is located in the East Khasi Hills We visited the village, and were impressed by its cleanliness, the thatched Khasi huts, lush gardens and cobbled streets. Bamboo baskets were placed outside every house to keep it clean. I wish we could have something like that in our cities as well.

We also went to see the Living Root Bridges. These are natural bridges made by the roots of two gigantic rubber trees. We had to hike all the way up, and Mother was very tired, but she is a good sport. She completed the hike with me. We also went together to see the Sky View, which is an 85 feet high viewing tower made of bamboo. It overlooks Bangladesh, our neighboring country.

I was fascinated by the simple and warm people of Shillong, whose hospitality made me want to stay there forever. There’s just so much to do and see in Shillong. I hope I have made a good case of it, and you would consider visiting it. There are a lot of surprises there that I would like you to discover for yourself. Do write back.
