Role Model Essay – There are many people in the world who blindly follow anyone. Also, they admire and love that person no matter what he does. A role model is a person who inspires you to be like him.

Moreover, a role model is the person you love and want to be like him. Besides this, the role model can be anyone from a celebrity to a politician to your family member.

My Role Model

The missile man of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is my role model. He is my role model not because he has achieved great things in life and become the president of India. He is my role model because he dedicated his entire life to the country and its people especially school children.

His Achievement

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam worked his entire life and achieved many great things in life. But several of his bigger achievements are the testing of Atomic bombs at Pokhran, development of the missile Agni and Prithvi, and becoming the president of India . But there is one more thing which is of great importance that is after his retirement from the presidential post he started teaching because it was his passion.

He always says that this young generation is the future of the country so guide them on the right path and they lead India to greatness.

His Personal Life

Dr. Abdul Kalam was so dedicated to his work that he usually sleeps late at night and wakes up early in the morning. Also, he never misused his power as a president of India. Besides, all this his family (brother and sisters) was also a very humble person who earn their living by doing work and they live simple lives.

Qualities of a Role Model

There are certain qualities of a good role model which make him/her a great man/women. These qualities include a demonstration of confidence and leadership , communication with everyone, being unique, showing respect and concern for others, treating everyone equally, willingness to admit mistakes, and maintaining the same character inside or outside the job. If a person possesses these qualities then he/she can be an ideal role model.

Being a role model to someone is not an easy task especially if you focus on being a role model. The thing about being a role model is that you only do the right thing and people starts to follow. She is an outstanding actor and model. In the year 1994, she became Miss Universe at the age of 18, making all the Indians proud. Her most vigorous decision was to adopt two girl children as a single mother. Many hurdles came to her while adopting them, but she fluently passed all the hurdles for her girls.

Many denied her from adopting a child as a single mother. She fought the whole world for both of her daughters. She stood like a strong tree showing that small winds cannot break her. She taught us to believe in our dreams and work hard to accomplish them. She is a single mother showing the world that a woman is capable and independent of raising her children independently.

A role model is a person who can inspire people. Ratan Tata is the most generous person on earth and is my role model. Despite being the chairman of Tata group of industries, he is known for his golden heart. He is a man with high values. His motivating speech and quotes manifest his thoughts.

He is a philanthropist who donates a large amount of money to charity. His pure heart and dedication are the reason for the tremendous success of Tata industries. A visionary leader who motivates his employees to work towards a new vision and new opportunities. I look upon him as a person full of values, a risk-taker, and a man with a purely positive attitude. He is a role model for the youth.

Ratan Tata is a humble man who insists on not getting special treatment. He drives his car and lives a simple life. He is my ideal and believes in kindness, simplicity, and empathy. He is an 84-year-old industrialist who has consistently demonstrated that he is much more than a business person. I want to be charitable and selfless like him. Sometimes, he travels on an economy class ticket for flights and surprises his fellow passengers. This shows that he is not a man who lives a luxurious life and teaches us that no matter how rich we are, we must stay grounded.

His primary focus is on the severe issue of malnutrition. He said that the health of children and pregnant women is essential as it will change the mental and physical health of the nation. He believes that children are the nation's future, and we need to nourish children for a bright future for the country.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he recommended companies not lay off their employees. Also, during the pandemic, he donated hundreds of crores to the nation for the help of frontline workers and those who are fighting the virus.

He believes that everyone has the right to education and lack of money should not be a hurdle.

He visited around 80 families who were impacted by the 26/11 attack. He helped many street dogs and also requested his followers to do so. He always inspires and motivates people on his social media handles.

Our thought process develops and we then focus on a personality that admires us the most. This personality is called a role model. We get immense inspiration from the role model we choose. Our personalities develop following the traits we admire in a person. This person can be your parent, your family member, or a celebrity.

My role model is Charlie Chaplin. He is one of the greatest comedians and film producers of all time. Charles Spencer Chaplin, a brilliant child, who was born in the poor part of London on 16 th April 1889. His mother was suffering from a psychological disorder. His father died due to alcoholism. He was left in an abyss where his caretakers were not able to pay the rent as well. They changed rooms and were not able to eat every day. He developed a world of his own when his mother suffered from madness spells.

His mother supported his family by sewing clothes. Eventually, she could not afford to rent a sewing machine. His early days were spent with homeless children when his mother was treated in a hospital. Even if he belonged to a tragic background and lived a sad childhood, he never failed to make everyone laugh with his performance. He developed as an excellent actor, director, producer, and almost all kinds of skills needed to produce a silent movie. His best creations that still make people laugh and cry at the same time are City Lights, Modern Times, The Kid, A woman of Paris, The Gold Rush, etc.

He became a very famous actor admired by all. He directed, acted, edited, and produced most of the films. We can say he was a perfectionist in every sense. He even took a dig at Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Germany, and mocked him in his film ‘The Great Dictator’ released in 1940. He was so brave that no one was ready to fund, act, or release this movie that mocked the superpower. He did it taking it as a challenge and mocked the Fuhrer with his toothbrush moustache.

This is why I admire Charlie Chaplin. Even though he had a very sad childhood, he still managed to find food in his life. He was strong enough to stand tall and gave the world’s best comedic performance of all time. He also got the longest standing ovation in the Oscars. Everyone clapped and cheered when he received it for 11 minutes straight. Despite being clad with poverty and extreme hardship, he never went into the abyss of sadness. He recognized his talent and wanted to remain in the virtual happy world of comedy.

He is my favourite personality in the world due to his versatility and multiple talents. He said ‘A day without laughter is a day wasted’. He always wanted to see everyone smiling and laughing. He wanted to be the reason for everyone’s laughter and happiness. He also said ‘I always walk in the rain so that no one can see my crying.’ It is easy to imagine the pain behind this line but his act never revealed his sad life at all.

I came to know about his childhood and real-life stories when I read his autobiography. He represents every common man we know. He is our refined image. For him, life was a long story with a lot of comedy. His perspective of seeing life is what I admire. Charlie Chaplin had a life full of struggle and sufferings, still, he was able to bring smiles on millions of faces throughout his life. Everyone loved his work and at one phase of his life, he was at the peak of his life, where he signed many shows and films.

He signed contracts with the mutual film corporation for a really huge sum to make 12 two-reel comedies. These were “The Floorwalker”, “The Fireman”, “The Vagabond”, “One A.M.” (a production in which he was the only character for the entire two reels with the exception of the inclusion of a cab driver in the opening scene), and many more such works.

As we are already aware of his association with Mutual, the same association contract expired in 1917 when Charlie decided to establish himself as an independent producer for fulfilling his desire for expansion and leisure. A role model is a person who inspires you to become a better person in life. People follow many great personalities and consider them as their role models irrespective of their profession. They love them and have high regard for their work and life. Everyone has some kind of role model in their lives be it a politician, a celebrity or a family member.

So according to me, my role model is Dr APJ Abdul Kalam- a person with great vision and wisdom. He has achieved many great things in life and prioritized his country and people over anything. This is the reason why I chose him as my role model. This great personality has done wonders for his country and enlightened the lives of many people.

So if you want to choose a role model for your life, he or she must possess certain great qualities that not only impact his own life but also influence the society with his great work and ethics.

A role model should be confident, inspiring and should have leadership qualities. He or she must be unique in doing his work and the way he communicates with people tell a lot about his personality. A person who does not fake anything and has the same character inside and outside is the one who deserves to be a role model for someone. He must have an equal eye for everyone and should always be ready to accept his mistakes, then only he can serve the community better and obviously possesses the qualities of being a role model.

Other than Dr Abdul Kalam, I consider my mother and father as my role models who sacrificed their lives just to give us a better and happy life. They constantly supported me in every phase of life and now they hold utmost importance in my life.

The popular conception of a role model is that of a hero as a warrior who shows great courage and conquers kingdom. Heroism does not consist in heroic deeds and acts of valor only but it also includes setting an instance for our peers to follow. And to make that instance a person has to maintain his or her life through strict discipline so that in the later days others don’t get a chance to raise fingers on his personal life.

Those people who relieve human suffering and work for the welfare of human race are not only role models but also great heroes. They are the true saviors of mankind. Speaking in this sense, Swami Vivekananda is one of the greatest heroes of India and to me the most ideal role model that I can ever follow.

Swami Vivekananda is called the Monk-Hero of India, is the magic name all over the country. Why? The following revelation that I am going to state will make this clear.

His is a name which the whole world still honours. He is one of the makers of modern India. Long years of foreign rule bled the white, the people of India were broken-spirited and most of them were sunk in ignorance and superstition. Her prestige had sunk to the lowest level abroad.

It was at this period in Indian history Vivekananda drew attention of the outsiders to India’s glorious past and showed them that her philosophy and religion could still inspire millions of people all over world. His message electrified the whole country and that was, in fact the beginning of a new life in India.

Vivekananda (or Narendranath Dutta, as he was known in his worldly life) was born in Calcutta on 12 th January 1863. His father was a brilliant lawyer, who, however, died suddenly and left the family very poor. Narendranath found life a hard struggle.

He, however, was constantly haunted by one question. “What is God?” nobody could satisfy him. At least he found in Ramakrishna Paramahansa a man who could answer his question. After Paramahansa’s death, he wandered all over India and was deeply moved by the distress and poverty of his country. He decided to fight them with all his strength.

Somehow, he raised funds by begging at doors and sailed abroad to America. Who knew at that time that this man will one day glorify our country’s name in the foreign soils! A man who didn’t get any financial support for his travel, had to beg to pay off his train tickets, spoke so beautifully about his nation in the foreign lands.

He addressed the Parliament of Religions at Chicago in 1893 and held the big gathering spellbound with his speeches on Indian philosophy and religion.

At the start of his speech, he addressed the masses by saying,” My brothers and sisters of Chicago” instead of telling, “Ladies and gentlemen”. This greatly moved the people attending the meet that stood up to give him a standing applause which reverberated for a long time in the walls of the Parliament.

He was already a famous man when he returned to India. He travelled from Colombo to Amoral making speeches and the whole country was stirred up. Newspapers started selling like hot cakes; people waited to hear his news.

He founded a new order of monks called the Ramakrishna Mission on 1 st May, 1897. These yellow clad monks lead a life of service and sacrifice. They have kept Vivekananda’s ideals alive. The name of Ramakrishna Mission is today a household word in India abroad. The motto of the Ramakrishna Mission is “ atmano mokshartham jagat hitaya cha” which is a verse from the Rig Veda meaning, “For one’s own salvation and for the welfare of the world”.

It has been declared by the Indian government that the birth date of Swami Vivekananda’s birthday will be celebrated as National Youth Day on 12 th  of January since 1985, every year.

The motive of celebrating this day is to influence and inspire young generations to live a life as good as his as well as inculcate all the pious ideals into the coming generations.

At this day people all over the nation remember Swami Vivekananda and his contributions to the country. It is celebrated with great devotion and purity at headquarters of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission including their branch centers.

Here the monks pay homage to the creator. The one for whom they are there. Various activities like homa, meditation, mangal arti, devotional songs, religious discourses, sandhya arti, etc are performed on this day.

Swami Vivekananda during the Indian renaissance was also instrumental in the upliftment of the condition of women. He always believed that development of women must come first, then only some good can come about for the country.

He was ectremely impressed to see the condition of women in developed countries and wanted the same to happen to India too. His views on women can be implied from his following saying:

“Educate your women first and leave them to themselves; then they will tell you what reforms are necessary for them. Our right of interference is limited entirely to giving education. Women must be put in a position to solve their own problems in their own way. No one can or ought to do this for them. And our Indian women are capable of doing it as any in the world”

“The true essence of religion lies in the service of men”. He believed we are all made in the image of God. If we serve others then we are serving God in turn. Any wrong or harm done to our fellow beings is indirectly hurting god. This message of Swami Vivekananda has mostly captured my imagination.

He was also a man who greatly revered his mentor and had made the Ramakrishna Mission entirely dedicated to his teacher, mentor Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. We should always follow his advice and serve the suffering people. His teachings have opened up a whole new era to us.

Express thoughtful admiration. Glorifying your role model makes you sound naíve. Focus instead on describing the person in an insightful manner and explaining why you value what he or she represents. You might even have reason to differentiate yourself from your role model in specific ways, though the overall purpose should be to describe what you admire and want to emulate.
Describe and illustrate specific qualities. My role model essays should be accurate. Avoid relying on vague language that merely depicts your role model as “brilliant” or “compassionate.” Instead, aim for a more penetrating portrait that captures your role model’s complexities. Moreover, just because you’re not writing about yourself does not mean that you don’t have to back up your claims. Show your role model in detailed action to convey the qualities that he or she embodies.

Tell stories. Using specific anecdotes is the best way to achieve depth in your description. By describing the details of a particular episode, you can convey much more about a person than by listing any number of characteristics.
Show the role model’s tangible influence on you. The best way to demonstrate the importance your role model has played in your life is to recount changes you’ve made based on that person’s influence. Of course, you should not come across as a sycophant or a blind follower. But you can show how your role model provoked ideas that then initiated a course of action.

He acts like a child, gives advice like a friend, and guards like a bodyguard.

Photography is one of my father’s hobbies; he takes images of birds, plants, and animals. He is a passionate animal lover. We visited a dog park and a cat cafe to spend time with adorable dogs and kitties. He is always happy when he plays with them. On my father’s birthday, my mother and I gifted him a dog, and our family grew by one.

Many things have been taught to me by my father and I strive to be like him. He tells me not to cry when I make errors because mistakes are how we learn in life. I like his ability to look at life in a positive light. He is my hero, and I strive to instill his principles in my friends and the rest of the world. My father has been encouraging and understanding, and I know that his attempts to help me become a better person will never be in vain.

My father’s importance in my life cannot be overstated. My family’s equilibrium and calm are dependent on his presence. Throughout our lives, we have had a number of people who have made a major impact on our lives. Whether it is a superhero, a comic book character, a political leader or a friend, there is always someone that we look up to and really admire.

We, in fact, thrive on being a person like them. He or she is a role model in our lives. I, too, have a role model in my life. He is a five-and-a-half-foot man with short hair and a calm posture.

I have a face and body structure just like his because he is my father . He is my father; even though he is not a superhero or doesn’t possess an infinite amount of strength, he is the person that I look up to the most.

My father is the person who inspires me all the time, and he has had a strong impact on my life in the most profound way.

I share a very deep relationship with my father. My father and I may not speak with each other sometimes, but we understand each other properly without even talking.

That’s how strong my bond is with my father. Everyone admires my dad because he too admired and wanted to be a person like his father.

He is responsible and a man concerned about his family . A man is always there for you, no matter what, and ensures that all your needs are fulfilled. He is not only a dad but also a company, a friend, and he has always been a good mentor to me.

To me, it is a blessing that I got all of these qualities in a single person, and that too, in my father. He is a very humble and kindhearted man. Everyone knows him for his calm behavior, intelligence, and helping nature. For these reasons, he is loved by all in many ways.

My father is the most hard-working person that I have ever known. He works as a government servant in the agricultural department as an Assistant Agriculture Officer. His work is to ensure that all the villages and panchayats in his block are provided with their farming and agricultural needs.

A lot of people worked under the superiority of my father, and there were many panchayats under his agricultural leadership . That’s why there is a lot of pressure in his job, but still, he handles everything swiftly.

All the farmers come to visit him whenever they have any problems or issues with the crops, and he guides them and effectively solves their problems. He has also bagged the title of being the best agriculture officer in our district.

Apart from his professional life and financial pressure, he still makes time for his family. He also does our household work like taking care of the garden, the plants, repairing the garage and other jobs as well. I have also seen him fix the electrical and plumbing things as well.

My father has always been there for me since I was a child. He always pushes me and guides me to face the challenges of life. He helps me in my studies and even makes me understand the topics that I haven’t properly understood in school.

He shows a constant interest in my hobbies and studies, so it helps me do things properly and effectively.

My father is an amazing person and a great dad with a wonderful personality . He has always guided me to become a better person. I take all the major decisions in my life with his consent. I could not have anyone else better than my dad.

My Role Model is My Mother Essay

There are a lot of people that I come across in my day-to-day life. This includes my family, my friends , my classmates, relatives, and all my near and dear.

However, one person in our lives loves us more than she loves herself—the one who has given us life and brought us to this world as a mother.

Mothers are the biggest blessing for us in this world. A mothe r’s love for her child is above anything else in this world. She loves us and cares for us more than anything else. In my life, my mom has had the biggest impact on me, above anyone else.

Throughout my life, I have always been grateful to my mother for what I am today. Everyone has a role model whom they really admire in their life. People try to be like a celebrity, a friend, a sportsman, or any other character.

But for me, my mother has always been my role model, and she’ll always be. Her love had no laws and no boundaries, and it is strong enough to crush every obstacle that comes in my way.

I consider myself one of the luckiest people on this planet because I am able to get my mother’s love no matter what. She is not only my mother but also the mother of three children; they are my brother and my sister .

No doubt, we are there, but we are one for my mother. She loves each of us equally and makes sure that we are healthy and good.

She has made the biggest contribution to our lives. Starting from the morning, as soon as I woke up till the time I went to sleep, she had her involvement in everything. She wakes up early tomorrow morning before anyone else and starts her day by making breakfast for us.

As soon as the breakfast is made, she wakes me, my brother, and my sister up and then asks us to freshen up. While doing this, she makes sure our school bags and other items are ready. She makes sure our uniforms and shoes are clean.

She then serves us breakfast. She also makes some extra breakfast so that we can carry it to school. At home, when we are in school, she makes breakfast for my father and sends him to work.

She makes sure that every member of the family starts their healthy day with good food. She also offers Dad a proper, neat, and clean dress for his office. When Dad goes to his office, she starts doing household work.

She washes the clothes, cleans the house, and does all the other household work by herself. She prepares lunch before any of us comes home. When we are at home, my brother and my sister help our mother with all the work.

My mother is a wonderful lady. She is smart, wise, hard-working and ambitious. Like all other mothers in the world, she is also very concerned about her family. She makes sure to make all the ends meet together and provides us with a happy and healthy life.

Another great thing about my mother is that she is friendly to everyone and has a welcoming attitude. People like her company and are always attracted to her positive vibes. She is a very calm and modest person, and getting angry is something she does really slowly.

She is a mature-minded woman and knows how to use words properly. Her words never hurt anyone.

Her generosity is something that I really admire. This is what she always tries to teach us. If there is someone I see as my role model, it is none other than my mother. All the good qualities that I have in me are because of my mom.

Even if I become half the person she is, I will consider my life complete and that I have succeeded in becoming a better person.

My Role Model is A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Essay

Many people in his world follow or like anyone by feeling something special about that person. They also admire that person and love what that person really does in his life. This person that others admire and want to be like is their role model.

It is usually someone who admires you, and you develop a strong enthusiasm for him and his deeds. Having a role model in our lives is important as they teach us how to live a better life by being skilled at something, having sufficient knowledge , or working hard to achieve our goals.

For me, the role model has always been A.P.J. Abdul Kalam . His full name is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. He was a renowned scientist and politician in India. From 2002 to 2007, he was even the President of our country.

The unique thing about Abdul Kalam is that he was elected as President with the support of both the BJP and the opposition party, the Indian National Congress. In fact, people at every party liked him.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was an extremely talented scientist. He played a major role in the development of missiles and nuclear weapons in India. It is because of him that our country is now a major power in the world.

In the year 1982, when he was working at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, he developed a programme and developed a large number of successful missiles for the nation. For this reason, he is known as the ‘Missile Man of India’.

He was a man who believed in secularism and promoted communal harmony in the nation for each other’s religion. He secured a place in everyone’s heart; a man loved by all. Today, everyone likes and admires him for his philosophy and teachings.

He is a man who has dedicated his entire life to the people of this country. There are a number of ways in which Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam inspired me. He always had a positive attitude towards failure; this is what I liked the most about him.

Failures are natural, as we don’t succeed on our first try, but we should not keep trying till we achieve success . I admire his way of thinking and mindset when it comes to adapting to success.

He is a person who never stopped working or dreaming just because he failed in his attempts, and in fact, he worked even harder to achieve his goals.

He was a true legend for the youth of the country. Throughout his entire life, his professional career, work, and writings, he inspired the younger generation. He always loved young people, especially school students.

He used to say that youngsters must dare to dream and then convert that dream into thoughts and, finally, into actions. His life has indeed been an inspiration for the youth of the nation. As youngsters of the country, it is our duty to be a part of making India a developed country.

A person who treats everyone with dignity and respect. He was a very hard-working man, as he belonged to a very poor background. Because of his compassion and hard work, he was able to achieve all his dreams.

He believed that education is a basic necessity, and each and every child in the country should have a basic education that can help in nation-building.

A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was truly one of the best leaders that India has ever seen. He was a futurist and a visionary with a vision of making the nation one of the most developed countries in the world. We need more and more people and leaders like him to make our country run towards excellence and achieve our goals.
