My Future Plan

I often wonder about my future as I am about to finish my schooling. There are a number of questions in my mind, and the one which mostly revolves around my mind is which profession I should choose. It is difficult for me to make a choice because I am aware that the decision will impact my entire life. I always dream of a profession that I can enjoy, that brings a challenge to me and satisfies me. I believe in a job that is like a hobby for me. I just don’t want to do the job to make money. Instead, I want to love my profession and duty. Also, my job should be such that I contribute to society and help people.

From my childhood, I always wanted to treat people and cure their diseases. So, to fulfil this dream of becoming a doctor, I have some future plans. Firstly, I have to complete my secondary schooling. Then, I have to complete my higher secondary education, and thereafter, I would like to study in a prestigious medical college and later become a doctor.

Studying medical science takes a long time. It is a difficult course and requires a tremendous amount of hard work and patience. I hope that I will be able to meet all the challenges and complete my studies well. After the completion of my studies, I would like to work in a hospital, so I can make my dream come true.

During my studies, I will have to work on different biology projects. The experience of working on these projects will give me insight into science and help me in becoming a good doctor. In addition, I also have to develop patience and diligence. During the summer vacations, I will have to work under a good doctor as an assistant nurse. It will help me to get real-life experience of how doctors work. Moreover, the learning will help me to deal with patients, nurses, doctors and staff of the hospital. It will be the best kickstart for my career as a future medical student.

As for now, I am focusing on my studies and looking forward to completing my schooling. I do have a future plan for my family. But, before that, I would like to travel the world. I want to visit different countries like America, Finland and London and travel to all the continents. After finishing my education and going on a world trip, I would like to settle down in my life. So, I will get married and would love to have a small family. I would like to have a small home in a natural and calm place where I can live and enjoy myself with my family.

Thank you for subscribing!

For your college scholarship essay, you may be asked about your career goals. The scholarship committee wants to see how investing in your education will help your career. Do you have a definitive plan? Will a college education fit into that plan? These are the answers they want to see.

In this guide, we will provide some scholarship essay examples about career goals to jumpstart your essay writing.

Writing tips for career goals scholarship essays

Here are some quick tips for writing career goal scholarship essays:

  • Write about career goals that tie into the scholarship. This doesn’t mean you have to lie about your career goals to make them fit. Find a way to relate them to the scholarship committee or other elements of the scholarship.
  • Be precise about your career goals. Avoid vague statements that suggest you do not have a plan. Judges like to see determination because it shows they’re making a worthy educational investment.
  • Discuss how your education will help you achieve your career goals. The scholarship will assist with your education. Show a connection between the two so they can see why you deserve this scholarship.
  • If you mention multiple goals, indicate which one you feel most strongly about. Longer essays may allow you to mention a backup plan, but the committee needs to see where your focus lies.
  • Avoid cliché statements. Describe how your specific talents, experiences, and degree pursuits will help you succeed.
  • Point out solutions, not problems. You may mention struggles you’ve had in the past, but pinpoint how you will learn from them. Moreover, show how those struggles led to your career goals.
  • Organize your thoughts in a fluid manner. This will most likely be in chronological order, starting with your degree and progressing through your career growth.
  • Write, revise, rest, revise. This goes for any essay writing. Write the first draft from start to finish. Then read through it and edit any grammar or flow errors. Take a break, preferably overnight, and then re-read your content with fresh eyes.

Writing tips for college students

Example 1: Scholarship essay about career goals (100 words)

In a 100-word scholarship essay, you need to quickly make your point. There is not enough room for a lengthy intro or backstory. Use concise, comprehensive statements to deliver the most information in the fewest words.

I’m a sophomore at Texas Tech University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Companion Animal Science. After graduation, I hope to attend Texas A&M to become a veterinarian serving rescue organizations and animal shelters. I was born and raised in the south, where it is common for people to abandon animals in rural areas. Those animals then go into a rescue – emaciated, frightened, and confused. I want to work with rescues to provide affordable veterinary medicine to the animals they save. This scholarship would help me continue my education and potentially save thousands of abandoned animals in the future.

Example 2: Scholarship essay about career goals (250 words)

With a 250-word scholarship essay, you have a little more room to discuss the details of your career goals. You can explain situations from your past that inspired your career pursuits. You could use one paragraph to talk about your short-term goals and another to talk about your long-term goals. Just make sure the big picture ties into the scholarship.

My name is Patrick Holden and I am a freshman at the University of Michigan, majoring in English and minoring in linguistics. I plan to become an English teacher, but this wasn’t always what I had in mind.  When thinking about my future, I always saw myself in some sort of corporate office, perhaps as an executive assistant or a loan officer at a bank. My father works in the finance office for a car dealership and my mother works at a call center. I assumed I would follow a similar, albeit boring, path in life. In my junior year of high school, everything changed. My English teacher inspired me in ways I could have never imagined. She got me to love writing, literature, etymology, and everything about the English language. She made me want to be a better student in all of my classes, and she helped me see the value of education. I decided then that I wanted to inspire other students just as she did for me. My parents are unfortunately not able to contribute much toward my college expenses. I have earned a tuition scholarship based on my ACT score, but I still need additional funding for books and supplies. English majors have particularly high book costs because we have to purchase multiple books for each class. With the help of this scholarship, I could afford to continue my degree and become an English teacher.

Example 3: Scholarship essay about career goals (500 words)

With 500 words or more to play around with, you have plenty of space to talk about your career goals. Maintain the same theme throughout the scholarship essay. Each paragraph should connect to the next, and they should all work together to describe your career plan. Avoid making disconnected statements for the sake of word count. In the end, the scholarship committee should have a clear view of your educational plans and professional aspirations.

Internet marketing has gone from an optional method of advertisement to a vital step in business outreach. Even small businesses in remote towns look to the internet to attract customers and spread the word about their services. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with an emphasis on Digital Marketing. With this training, I will be able to enter a profession that will only grow year by year. When I was younger, I found print advertisements to be fascinating. I loved reading the newspaper with my father just to see the full-page ads in between stories. When I got older though, those ads became less appealing because they were not adaptive. They seemed dated, static and ill-fit for changes in society. That’s when I discovered internet marketing. It was still in its infancy when I was in middle school, but by the time I graduated high school, it had become a staple in business development. I loved the way internet marketers had to constantly adjust to fit Google’s algorithms, new mobile devices, and new audiences. I knew this was the career for me. Originally, I planned to focus solely on business marketing because there were not many digital marketing degrees available. Over the last two years though, several schools throughout the country have developed internet marketing courses that explain fundamental methods of search engine optimization, website analytics, and more. These are the foundations I will build my career around. The best part about internet marketing is that there is always something new to learn. I can use my creative mind and exploratory nature to try new advertising methods that help businesses succeed. Every time they do well, I do well. This is the kind of job fulfillment most people can only dream of, but my educational plan and job prospects will allow me to achieve it. I have picked up some freelance jobs online to supplement my studies and help pay for my education. It is difficult to maintain a steady stream of income in freelance because I spend so much time on my school work. This scholarship could offset some of the costs and reduce my workload as a whole. While I will still work throughout the semester and full-time in the summers, having extra financial aid would greatly reduce my stress in college. I look forward to a future where I can use my marketing skills to help business owners achieve their career goals. I plan to spend the first few years after graduation working for a successful, long-standing digital marketing company. After I have enough on-the-job training to feel confident in my abilities, I will open my own internet marketing company in Chicago, where my family lives. I have a clear picture of where I will be in the next 10 years, and I know this degree is going to help me get there.

How to Write an Awesome Essay About Your Career Goals

  • Before you begin, ask yourself a few key questions like:
  • What are my short-term and long-term career goals?
  • Where do I see myself in ten years?
  • What events in my life have led me to have these goals?
  • What major will help me reach my goals?
  • What skills do I need to reach my goals?
  • What impact do I want to have on society?

Career Goals Essay Template

Need more inspiration.

After you brainstorm the responses to these questions, look for common themes, or pick out the most interesting stories. You can build your main essay “thesis” or idea around this.

Once you’ve got the main idea, create an outline to put your ideas into essay format. This will give you a general idea of structure.

You can use the career essays template below to give you some ideas. But remember that some rules are meant to be broken, so don’t be afraid to be innovative and think outside the box!

Also, when you’re done, head over to Going Merry to apply for the Career Goals scholarship essay bundle (one essay, one application, multiple scholarships!). You might as well make that essay count. Sign up for Going Merry to apply for scholarships more efficiently.

career goals essay

Here’s a paragraph-by-paragraph breakdown:

Paragraph 1 : Establish the main theme of what you’re going to talk about. It should also grab the reader’s attention. For example, instead of starting your essay with something generic (e.g. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a zoologist), get creative with it! Try something like My greatest memory as a young girl was going to the zoo for the first time or While most kids play house or school, I always wanted to play zookeeper.

Paragraph 2 : Elaborate on what inspired your career goals. Perhaps it was a relative, a TV show, or simply an experience that you had. Remember that old writing adage, “Show, don’t tell.” In other words, try to demonstrate your interest with story or description.

Paragraph 3 : Discuss your short-term career goals and your intended major. How will your intended major help you reach these goals? What skills do you need to learn to reach them? At the end of the paragraph, try discussing how your short-term goals can help you achieve your long-term goals.

Paragraph 4 : Focus on your long-term goals and the impact that you hope to have on society. If you’re not sure what your long-term goals are, don’t sweat it; they’ll probably change anyways. You can instead focus on the difference you’d like to make overall. And don’t worry too much about the size of the impact…remember that just doing what you’re truly passionate about has a massive impact on those around you.

The last paragraph is your conclusion. You can use this paragraph to summarize what you discussed in the previous few paragraphs. If you want to be even more creative, try ending your essay with a question for your readers or a new insight. Good luck!

And now that you’re ready with that essay, put it to good use! You can recycle that same essay, when applying for the Career Goals Scholarship Bundle. Examples of Scholarship Essays for “Career Goals” Question

Writing an essay is often the trickiest part of the scholarship application, not to mention the most time-consuming. However, the essay section also allows room for creativity and individuality. If you can communicate effectively, you can use the essay portion to stand out from the crowd. Let’s go over some tips for writing, as well as a couple of scholarship essay examples about career goals.

How to write a scholarship essay

At this point, you’ve probably gained plenty of experience writing papers for school. However, it may still take a couple of tries to nail the scholarship essay. Since scholarship teams often have to get through a lot of applications, it’s important to stand out while staying concise. Here are some simple guidelines for writing scholarship essays.

Take five minutes to brainstorm

Before you even start your essay, take some time to gather your thoughts. Think about what you’ll want the paper to focus on. Why did you choose to pursue your career path in the first place? Where do you want to be in five years? How would this scholarship help you further your studies and work toward your goals?

Once you’ve jotted down a few ideas, choose one or two to center your essay on. Identifying the focus of your paper, it’ll make it easier to keep your thoughts organized. In turn, it’ll make it easier for the reader to follow.

Stay within the word limit

Unlike the four-page essays that you may have written in English class, scholarship essays are often only a paragraph or two. In order to respect the selection committee’s time, be wary of going too far about the specified word count. A general rule of thumb is to stay within 20 words above or below the limit. That may entail a few rounds of edits to get the wording just right.

Stay positive

Feel free to use part of your essay to talk about your life’s challenges. After all, the selection committee often wants to give the award to a candidate who needs it. However, make sure your anecdote doesn’t devolve into a sob story. If you’re going to bring up hardships you’ve endured, try to balance it by talking about how you’ve overcome them. By demonstrating resilience, you can show readers how you would use the scholarship to succeed in your current situation.

Leave time to proofread

Especially for a short scholarship essay, proofreading can take as little as 5-10 minutes. Still, it can be tempting to just hit “submit” after your first draft. However, being too impulsive can leave your essay riddled with typos and grammatical errors.

Try to avoid unnecessary mistakes by finishing your draft at least 24 hours before the scholarship deadline. That way, you can proofread it with fresh eyes before you submit it.

If you’re struggling to close out your essay, read How to end a scholarship essay in five steps .

How to write a 100-word “career goals” essay

When writing a 100-word essay, you’ll have to choose your content carefully. Since space is limited, you’ll want to identify the most important details to include beforehand.

First and foremost, make sure to clearly communicate your current pursuits. Talk about your academic and extracurricular activities related to your career goals. Additionally, it’s important to be specific about what you plan to do in the future. Then, if you have extra room, you can talk about how the scholarship will help you reach your goals.

My name is Alison MacBride, and I’m a sophomore at the University of Illinois. I’m currently pursuing a major in Journalism with a minor in Natural Resource Conservation. After completing my program, I plan to combine my areas of interest to become an environmental journalist.

During high school, I volunteered at an eco-conscious farm, where I learned about how our actions affect the earth. Since then, I’ve been set on raising awareness for the environment. This scholarship would go a long way in helping me finish my degree with the skills I need to investigate and report about critical issues.

How to write a 250-word “career goals” essay

For the 250-word essay, you can go into more detail. Give the readers some context by talking about how you first got interested in your chosen career. Storytelling can be especially effective in engaging your audience. Try to capture their attention by choosing one or two concrete examples and relaying them vividly.

Additionally, you can spend more time talking about the scholarship and how it’ll make a difference in your studies. Go into more detail about how and why you need the award, but remember to keep it positive!

For more help, check out How to write a 250 word essay .

I first decided that I wanted to pursue a career in environmentalism in early high school. The summer after my freshman year, I joined a volunteer program at an eco-conscious farm in my community. In addition to helping out with the operations, I learned about current environmental issues related to farming and other consumer industries.

After learning about the agricultural industry’s impact on the planet, I was inspired to make a difference. The next year, I started a monthly earth magazine at my high school in which we broke down environmental issues and offered tips on how to be more eco-friendly. When I started college, I founded an on-campus publication with the same mission.

In recent years, I’ve been troubled to see how some media outlets downplay the gravity of issues like climate change and deforestation. I’ve admired reporters who publish trustworthy and comprehensible information about environmental issues, and I aim to follow in their footsteps.

When I entered college, I was initially concerned that I wouldn’t have enough money to finish my degree. Fortunately, I’ve been able to cover most of my tuition using merit scholarships and paychecks from my part-time job on campus. Receiving this scholarship would allow me more time to focus on acing my classes and pursuing environmental advocacy work on campus.

You can find career essay examples to get a better understanding of how to write them. An example for a career in the police department is as follows:

my future career free essay example

My future career essay

“Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated with superheroes. The idea that with some power, I can fight crime and help the people around me never failed to amaze me. As I grew older, the passion to be a superhero grew more assertive as well. It was not long after that I realized that superheroes did exist, just not in the same way I thought. They could not fly or become invisible but instead worked hard and helped people. They are known as police officers. As a teenager, my superheroes now wore blue uniforms and a badge.

Most of us live our lives without having hardly made an impact in this world. I do not want that to the case with me; I want to help people whenever I can. I have realized that the best route for doing so is to become a law enforcement member. A police officer is a person that puts other safety and well-being above their own. They will rush into a dangerous situation to help the innocent and are the living embodiment of my childhood dreams. From my perspective, it is a noble profession and would allow me to do my part in making this world safer by serving my community.

I have grown up with the ideals of helping my community and becoming a police officer. It allowed me to understand the intricacies of the job as best as I could. I have a strong sense of justice and do not waiver on morals ever. Even when it has gotten me grounded, I have told the truth. I also work at many shelters to understand the issues people face and try to do my part even now. I also try to keep updated with the most common and relevant laws and any changes in them. In addition to this, I have been taking self-defense classes for two years now. These classes have enabled me to be skillful enough to protect myself and others in case of any altercations.

Like any career in the world, being a police officer has its ups and downs too. It is not an easy career but requires a significant amount of time, effort, and sacrifice. I am willing to put in the work so I can help keep my community safe. I plan to climb the career ladder from patrol officer to detective to even the chief of a district or state. Law enforcement is not without its flaws, and I hope to transform these cons into pros one day. I want my influence to better not only the community but also the police department as well.

After I graduate high school, I want to enroll in a police academy to start my training right away. The sooner I join, the sooner I can start making a positive impact. I am eager to wear the blue uniform and be the superhero I looked up to as a child.”

Future Plans Essay: Graduate Personal Statement Writing Strategy

EssayEdge > Blog > Future Plans Essay: Graduate Personal Statement Writing Strategy

Writing about the future in a graduate personal statement can be an enjoyable task. Planning your career, thinking ahead to achieving your goals, and “dreaming big” are the best parts of writing about the future.

Graduate personal statements should always include some of the following components in a paragraph devoted to the future.

  • Forecast your short term and long term goals. (Include interim goals, if applicable.)
  • Define your future career, offering specific details.
  • Develop ideas and plans as to how the graduate degree will contribute to your future career.
  • Project industry growth, increased demand for employees. Relate it to your specific field.

Regarding goals, short term goals usually include those which can be achieved in the next 3 – 5 years. Long term goals extend beyond 10 years or more. Interim goals apply to some career paths, but not all. The interim goals fall between the short and long term goals outlined in the personal statement for graduate school and depend upon the industry or program.

Your graduate personal statement should relate your future plans to your motivation to achieve these plans. If you introduce the idea of your long term goal in the opening paragraph of a personal statement for graduate school, then it is usually a good idea to return to the idea at the conclusion of the statement. This will remind the reader of your theme, your introduction, and your desire to pursue a career in the field discussed in the graduate personal statement.

Graduate Personal Statements have Never been More Important

Another important part of the section on the future plans in graduate personal statements is the opportunity to focus on the application of the intended degree program to those plans.

The writer of a personal statement for graduate school should include information about desirable coursework in the program and professors of interest who teach those courses. If research is an element of the program, then a discussion of the research lab, its purpose, and the professors in charge of the lab, as well as any past relevant personal research experience , would be a good inclusion in this graduate personal statement.

A graduate personal statement could also benefit from some discussion of future alumni networking and community-building within the program. Potential synergistic relationships, whether in the medical, scientific, business, commercial, or artistic world, could benefit careers and should be noted in the graduate personal statement.

We hope that the answer to a question like,” Should I use a proofreading service for grad school ?” is obvious to you. The requirements for graduate-level papers are rigorous, but they let schools choose the most decent applicants. A career goals essay is a personal written explanation that discusses your background, why you’re interested in participating in the program, and what career you’d like this degree to lead into. A scholarship essay functions to explain why you want to achieve your professional goals and how you intend to get there.

In almost every application process, a portion asks the candidate to answer an essay question. When applying to an educational program, like an MBA, the essay prompt usually relates to your career goals .

Scholarship essays ask about career goals to assess your enthusiasm for the program, learn more about how the scholarship will help you, and ensure that you’ve considered how the program will help you achieve your goals for the future:

Assess your enthusiasm. Passion is important for scholarship administrators, and if you’re able to articulate your enthusiasm for a specific career path , it will show that you’re determined to meet the requirements to reach that goal. The most specific and well-thought-out your essay is, the easier it will be for a reader to understand your devotion and commitment to the program and the field it will allow you to enter.

Learn how the scholarship will help you. Having a firm grasp of your career goals is great, but it’s equally important that you express exactly how the specific program relates to those goals. This shows that you’ve researched the merits of the program and understand exactly how it fits into your professional goals.

Show you’ve considered your future. This goes along with the first two points — show that you know how to set goals and consider the path toward achieving those goals, and you’ll have an easier time convincing the reader that you’ll know how to set goals while participating in the program. They’ll see that you know how to prioritize education because you have a clear vision for navigating your career path.

While some scholarships might come right out and simply ask, “What are your career goals?” most will rework the question into something different that still accomplishes the same goal.

Below are some examples of career goals essay prompts that a scholarship program could pose to its applicants:

Discuss your career goals. Many scholarships prefer the most direct approach when giving an essay prompt to their applicants. This type of question gives the candidate a lot of wiggle room to discuss their passions, motivations, and career goals.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years ? This question is often used as a prompt for a career goals essay because it gives the applicant a timeline to describe their aspirations. It forces them to be realistic about where their career will be and how they will accomplish this within the next ten years.

How will this scholarship contribute to your professional success? A scholarship committee wants to be sure that the money they’re giving will contribute to a student’s overall professional success. This question asks about the applicant’s game plan in the long-term and evaluates how this program is going to assist in their future.

What is your dream job ? Since a dream job is often categorized as a person’s career goals, this is a common question phrasing in scholarship essays. Asking about a candidate’s dream job answers whether this program aligns with the student’s long-term career goals.

What matters most to you and why? Sometimes, a scholarship essay prompt won’t ask about your career or future at all. Instead, they’ll ask a question like this that assesses your motivations , values, and character.

Use these examples of career goals essays for scholarships to help write your own. Pay special attention to how they’re organized, rather than the content, to inspire your own career goals essay:

Career goals essay example 1 – Discuss your career goals

When I was six years old, I was riding bikes with my older sister around our neighborhood. She had just taught me how to ride, and I was excited to have to freedom to explore with her. When she was rounding a particularly difficult bend to see around, a car happened to be coming along at the same time. It struck her. That bike ride changed our lives forever. Over the next year, I went with my sister every Tuesday and Thursday to her physical therapist ’s appointments to help her regain walking strength. Watching her physical therapist patiently assist my sister back to becoming herself awoken something in me. A passion for helping others in the same way eventually turned into a career goal of becoming a physical therapist myself. I decided to get my bachelor’s degree in exercise science. After graduating in 2019, I knew that the next step for me was to attend a graduate program in physical therapy. I was accepted to Lassell University Master of Science in Rehabilitation Services. This presented me with my latest goal along my career path, and I’m eagerly waiting to start. This scholarship would help me afford the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Lassell University class of 2023, allowing me to continue working towards my ultimate career goal of becoming a physical therapist and helping others to become themselves again.

Career goals essay example 2 – Where do you see yourself in ten years?

In ten years, I will have been successfully running my own construction business for about five years. I’m currently a second-year student at the University of Texas, pursuing a master’s degree in business administration. I decided to get my MBA because I knew it would be a positive asset toward my long-term career goal of owning a construction business. In my high school years, I worked as a construction apprentice for a local business. I loved many aspects of the business, such as building something from nothing. I knew that I wanted to incorporate this work into my long-term career, but I didn’t want to work as an apprentice . This led me to pursue business. In ten years and with the help of this scholarship, I will have graduated with my MBA almost a decade prior . After graduation, I plan to take a business administration internship with a carpentry business to help myself get a footing in the field. After about two years of this, I will have started my own construction business.

Career goals essay example 3 – What matters most to you and why?

The people I surround myself with matter most to me. Whether it be my relatives, friends, or professional acquaintances, I always care the most about the happiness of the people around me. Making the people around me happy matters the most to me because I truly because we find our happiness through others. I believe that this drive to make a positive impression on the people around me is what drove me towards a career as a nurse . I always thought of hospitals as places where people need someone to support them and make their day a little happier. I wanted to be one of those who spend their careers positively impacting people in need. This scholarship will enable me to finally afford nursing school and go after my dream job full force.

Career goals essay example 4 – What are your short- and long-term career goals, and how will earning this degree contribute to achieving those goals? Please provide a minimum of 200 words.

My short-term career goals involve working directly with underprivileged young people to increase the literacy rate in my community. As a student of an underfunded and understaffed school, I’ve seen firsthand how much of an impact early literacy education makes on long-term achievement. It broke my heart to see my peers embarrassed at their struggle with reading at an advanced age, and this shame added another dimension to their lack of opportunity. Being a literacy educator for young people would allow me to serve this community directly to show them not only the necessity of strong written communication skills, but the joy of reading for pleasure. This program focuses specifically on early literacy, and would provide me a direct route to a career in serving the community I hope to serve. As for long-term career goals, I hope to one day create a program where socioeconomically parents can bring their children for literacy education, not only to increase their ability to navigate the world of language, but also to instill confidence and joy in the written word. What drew me to this program was that it also has administrative, legal, and business dimensions that would set me on the path toward achieving this goal.

Here are some tips to keep in mind for writing a career goals scholarship essay:

Write about goals relevant to the scholarship. Although you may have many different kinds of goals for your personal and professional future, a scholarship essay only discusses objectives that are relevant to the program you’re applying for.

Be honest. Applying for a scholarship is stressful because the applicant’s education is usually reliant on receiving these funds in one way or another. Even though it’s tempting to exaggerate your skills or pretend you’re more passionate about something than you are to make yourself a more competitive applicant, it’s a bad move.

Use your own, unique voice. The essay portion of a scholarship application is your chance to stand out by using your voice. Nobody else, regardless of their academic or professional achievements, is you. Make this clear in your career goals scholarship essay by keeping your unique written voice engrained in the words you produce.

Be specific. A big reason that scholarship committees ask applicants to write a career goals essay is to determine how prepared they are in planning their long-term professional goals. They aren’t interested in providing a scholarship to students who aren’t going to follow through with their career plans.

Explain long and short-term goals . Even if the essay prompt asks you to describe where you see yourself in ten years, you still need to tell them the steps leading towards this picture of success.

Include the short-term goals that add up to your larger career objectives in your essay response. Explain how accomplishing the smaller goals gives you an advantage when tackling long-term ones.

Explain how the program and scholarship will help you. Before writing your career goals essay, consider how this program and scholarship will help you in your career. The answer to this question is essential.

Follow the essay formatting guidelines. This may sound obvious, but it’s surprisingly easy to forget this step when your essay is finally flowing and when you’re scrambling to get it submitted on time.

Check, double-check , and triple-check the essay guidelines for content, word count, and formatting requirements. If you miss any of these steps, your essay may be immediately disqualified no matter how good it or the rest of your application is.

Many times career goals essays are written by students who have already completed at least some college or are applying to a post-graduate program and need more money to continue.

There’s a good chance that your career goals have changed since you started or graduated college. For example, say you wanted to be an engineer , so you got your undergraduate degree in engineering but realized you didn’t like it after working in the industry for a few years.

You decided that nursing would be more up your alley, and now you’re applying for a scholarship for a nursing program. While this isn’t unusual, it can make it more difficult to write a career goals essay since your past work doesn’t necessarily match your future goals.

In this case, you’ll simply need to explain why you changed your career path and why this next one is the best choice for you. Share your decision-making process to show that you haven’t taken the switch lightly, and talk about what you’ve already done to try to pursue this path.

How do you write a career goal for a scholarship essay?

You write a career goal for a scholarship essay by sharing your passion, explaining both your long- and short-term goals, and relating your goals to the scholarship.

Explain why you want to pursue the career you’re pursuing, where you hope to be in the future and how you plan to get there, and how the scholarship will help you do this.

How do you describe your career goals in an essay?

You describe your career goals in an essay by explaining what you want to do in your career, why you decided on this career path, and what you’ve done so far to make that a reality.

You can usually work these factors into any prompt you receive, so think through them before you start writing so that you can use them as an outline of sorts.

What are career goals examples?

Examples of career goals include:

Working as a grant writer for a nonprofit organization.

Becoming a department manager and eventually an executive in your field.

Owning your own plumbing company.

Caring for underserved communities as a nurse practitioner .

What are some goals for success?

Some goals for success include growing in your role, building your network, and finding joy in the job. Most careers don’t just happen overnight and require you to set the right milestones that work best for you. Not everyone will have the same goals for success.

How do you start a career goals essay for a scholarship?

You can start a career goals essay for a scholarship by directly answering the prompt. Most scholarship prompts include a word count of between 200 and 500 words, so it’s essential that you immediately respond to the prompt. Attention-grabbing sentences and narratives can be helpful for setting the scene, but an efficient and direct answer will show a clarity of mind that helps enhance the quality of your answer.

Writing About Your Future Plans – A Complete Guide

A lot of people wonder if writing about your future plans is worth it.

Can’t you just imagine what you want to do, and then do it?

Can’t you just make a plan in your mind, and then pursue that plan in your life?

These are great questions.

However, they speak to a fundamental question that’s vitally important to understand when it comes to goal setting.

The statistics show us that people who write down their goals are statistically more likely to succeed at those goals than people who only make plans in their mind.

There are many reasons for why this is the case.

But I generally like to describe it as follows.

When you write down your goals instead of just keeping them in your head, you’re fulfilling an important part of the process of taking the dreams that are in your imagination and manifesting them in the real world.

And then, when you actually break down those goals and make a cohesive plan of action, what you’re actually doing is creating a roadmap to success that’ll equip you to accomplish whatever you want to achieve in life.

But this leads to another important question.

How do you do it?

How do you set yourself to the task of writing about your future plans?

And perhaps even more importantly, where do you start?

These are actually the most important questions to ask yourself.

And in this post, you’re going to learn a nine-step process for helping you to write down your future plans in a cohesive format.

That will give you a much better chance for success.

Let’s break it down.

How Do You Write A Future Plan?

Writing a future plan basically consists of making a plan for your future, and then writing that plan out as a set of goals.

Of course, this will require you to blend long-term goals with medium and short-term goals.

  • Ideally, you would want to set long-term goals to solidify a picture of what you’re ultimately aiming for.
  • Then, you’d break those long-term goals down into medium-term goals to figure out what you need to do in the next three to five years.
  • And then, you’d break those medium-term goals down into short-term goals—which will tell you what to do on a daily and weekly basis.

But also, before you can even begin this process, you need to answer another important question.

What Are Your Plans For The Future?

Dr. Henry Link write down a plan

It’s helpful to understand what success looks like to you before you begin the process of pursuing success.

Now, this isn’t always an exact science.

Sometimes, it’s difficult to know exactly where you’d like to end up one day.

Therefore, a bit of flexibility is most definitely called for.

However, it’s also important to be as specific as you can be.

The more specific you are, the more on-target your efforts will tend to be.

Think of it like shooting an arrow.

If you know exactly where the target is, and if you can see the target clearly outlined and marked down-range, then you’ll basically have a much better chance of hitting the target with the arrow.

By contrast, if you have no idea where the target is, and everything is dark, then the best you can do is this—you can really only point in any direction and shoot—trusting fully in luck, and understanding that there’s only a very small chance that you’ll actually hit what you want to hit.

Knowing which direction the target is in, and/or at least knowing the general vicinity of the target in relation to where you are, definitely gives you a better advantage than not knowing where it is at all.

But of course, the more specific you can get—and the more information you can glean about it—the better off you’ll be.

How Can I Write About My Future?

You can only write about your future when you come up with some kind of plan, direction, or vision for how you’d like your future to look.

This is really the first step.

So once you solidify some kind of vision or idea for what you’d like your future to look like, you’ll be ready to start writing about your future plans using the following nine-step guide.

Keep in mind, this process doesn’t have to be perfect.

If you’re struggling to figure out what you want for your future, read this post about how to live your life on purpose.

Now, let’s dive into it and talk about it.

9 Steps – How To Write About Your Future Plans

1. determine where you want to be in life.

Anne Frank quote

This is a pretty simple and straightforward thought process.

It’s in your best interest to identify the target before releasing the arrow.

This could mean deciding on a particular type of career you’d like to have, or focusing on what you’d like your purpose in life to be.

You should get as specific with this as possible.

If you don’t know the specifics, of course, just figuring out a general direction is a great way to start.

Need some additional guidance with this? Check out this post: 12 Steps To Finding Your Passion And Purpose In Life .

2. Choose A Journal

You’re definitely going to want to use a journal, a goal-setting book, a goal achievement system, or even just a notebook to start writing down your goals.

To help choose the perfect journal for you, check out our resource page . We use that page to keep a list of our favorite journals and goal achievement systems. We also review systems on that page to help you choose the journal that’s best for you.

Once you’ve decided what you’re going to use, you’ll be ready to move on to the next step.

3. Write Down Your Major Life Goals

Jim Lovell quote make things happen

This is the part where you start with your long-term goals.

  • What do you want to achieve in your future?
  • What kind of career do you want to have?
  • How much money would you like to make?
  • What would you like your family life to look like?
  • What would you like to accomplish in life?
  • What would you like to be known for?

These are all important questions to ask as you dream about the future, turn those dreams into goals , and then write them down.

And make no mistake— writing them down is actually a very crucial part of the process .

If you figure out an answer to one of the above questions (or to a different question that helps you to define what one of your major life goals is), make sure to write it down in your journal .

Always write it down, even if you’re not quite sure you understand it or that it’s even correct.

Remember, this is all a part of the process of getting those dreams out of your head and manifested in the real world.

This is the first step toward turning your goals into reality.

4. Back-Engineer Those Goals To Figure Out What You Need To Do To Get There

When you write out a long term goal, it’ll probably seem almost impossible to achieve at first glance.

It’ll probably be very big, and it’ll likely involve many steps.

So the first thing that you’ll need to do is to back engineer that goal and figure out what it’ll take to get from where you are now to the finish line.

This is the process of breaking long-term goals down into medium-term goals.

Need some help with these more intermediate goal-setting skills? Read our quick-start guide to SMART goals .

5. Break Those Goals Down Into Monthy, Weekly, And Daily Milestones

Jim Ryun quote write down your plans

This is where writing down your short-term goals becomes incredibly important.

Once you start to break down those medium-term goals, you’ll realize that there are steps that you’ll need to take every day, every week, and every month to help carry you toward the realization of those goals.

But here’s the thing.

It takes hard work to stick to goals like this. That’s why it’s so important to make this part of the process a habit!

Download my weekly goal-setting sheet , print out a few, and give it a try.

You can also read our quick-start guide on how to make goal-setting a habit in your life .

6. Write Down Your Goals On A Consistent Basis

At this point, I might start to sound like a broken record.

But I can’t stress this enough.

Every single day, when you wake up in the morning, spend some time writing down your daily goals to figure out what you have to do today to help carry you toward your medium and long-term goals in the future.

Ideally, we want to make sure that hardly a day goes by where we don’t make progress on our long-term goals in some form or fashion.

See, this is why writing down your goals is so important.

It helps you to stay intentional—and to use your time, energy, effort, and resources to help you achieve what you really want in life.

All too often, people waste their valuable resources reacting to life and chasing things that aren’t going to carry them toward the future they really want for themselves .

Maintaining the discipline to write down your daily goals helps you to avoid this trap and instead helps you to focus on the things that really matter.

7. Stick To Your Plan And Start Working Toward Your Dreams

Ray Kroc quote requirements for success

The first day or two of goal setting may seem new and exciting.

But if you’re like most people, it’ll very quickly become not only ‘normal,’ but even perhaps a little bit dull and boring .

Eventually, it’ll start to feel like a grind.

You’ll start to feel like every day kind of blends into the next day, in the sense that while you’ll be knocking out short term daily goals, you may start to feel like your medium and long term goals are a long way off.

And this is where a lot of people stop writing down their goals and just give up on the process.

But here’s the thing:

It’s so important to stick to your plan and to keep working toward your dreams.

Writing about your future plans is only part of the equation.

It’s also vitally important that you adopt a diligent work ethic and make sure to stay consistent with the plan as you move forward.

8. Review, Revise, And Adapt As Needed

Sometimes, once you get started pursuing a goal, you’ll realize that you might want to review, revise, and adapt that goal.

Sometimes, you may discover new information that leads you in a different direction.

Or sometimes, you might get started on a goal and realize that it’s not what you really want.

In such cases, you may be tempted to slightly revise your goals, adapt your methods, or even pivot to something completely new.

It’s really important to understand that this is a fundamental and natural part of the process.

As we continue on our journey, we’re all going to change.

We’re all going to learn new things and evolve along the way.

Don’t fight this. Make sure that you understand the difference between giving up and pivoting .

Giving up means to cease all effort and to retreat back to the state of your previous comfort zone, effectively deciding that you’re going to stop trying to make any progress whatsoever.

Pivoting means deciding to invest that effort in a new or revised direction because you’ve determined that this new updated direction is actually a better use of your time and fits in better with your passion and your purpose.

So don’t be afraid to review, revise and adapt.

9. Never Give Up

And finally, we reach what is perhaps the most difficult part of the process:

Never giving up!

Babe Ruth may have said it best.

“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.”

However, there are many quotes by many successful people that demonstrate an understanding of the fact that if you wish to succeed in life, giving up must never be an option.

For example, Winston Churchill said:

“Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.”

And Dale Carnegie once said:

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”

See, even uttering the phrase “never give up” might sound cliche.

But it’s a simple truth.

And it can’t be overstated.

The road to success isn’t always easy .

There are going to be challenges, pitfalls, trials, and difficult times.

And there’s a 100% guarantee that you’re going to feel like giving up at least a few times along the way.

However, it’s also vitally important to understand that the only true way to fail is to give up .

If you care about something, are willing to adapt, and you keep learning and keep striving forward to achieve it, you’re bound to make progress.

And as long as you continue to make progress, you’ll continue to increase the odds that you’re going to succeed at it.

At that point, it’s really just a simple math problem.

It might take a while, but that’s okay. It’s never too late to succeed.

Conclusion – What Is Your Plan For Life?

Hopefully, this post has inspired you to consider writing about your future plans and creating goals for yourself.

Turning your dreams into goals, and then turning those goals into reality, is a process that many people think about—but very few end up following through on.

And the reason for that, honestly, is because it’s not always easy.

If you follow these nine steps, you’re bound to start making progress.

And at the end of the day, you might actually be really surprised by how much progress you’re capable of making if you do your best and don’t give up.

In conclusion, I’ll leave you with a quote I recently heard by Jordan B. Peterson that I think fits perfectly with this conversation.

It was recently shared on his Facebook Page .

“Then, when you wake up in the middle of the night and the doubts crowd in, you have some defense: “For all my flaws, which are manifold, at least I am doing this. At least I am taking care of myself. At least I am of use to my family, and to the other people around me. At least I am moving, stumbling upward, under the load I have determined to carry.””

This is such a profound quote!

I hope you’ll take it to heart and understand that it actually matters.

You can do it.

I believe in you.

Now, it’s time to start writing about your future plans and turning those dreams into goals.

You’ve got this.

Best wishes…

Future Career Goals Scholarship Essay Example

What are your career goals, and how will this scholarship help.

My name is XX. I am a student at X College completing an associate’s degree in science and planning on transferring to a four-year college or university. My educational aspirations consist of acquiring a bachelor’s degree in any biological or health science that would assist me in pursuing a medical career as a doctor. On the other hand, my career vision is to one day be able to provide affordable health care to marginalized communities in the United States. However, I am certain that if I do not complete my college degree I could never have the opportunity to achieve my career goals.

I decided that I will attain a career as a doctor since my passion has always been assisting others and trying to improve their quality of life. Therefore, I think that pursuing such a career will provide me the opportunity to help improve the community's health quality conditions and learn about their medical needs. After becoming a certified doctor, I want to specialize in oncology, the study of cancer, and add my knowledge to the cancer research field.

Furthermore, I want to contribute back to underserved populations in the U.S. that struggle every day to sustain a family, and who do not have as much access to medical assistance as other privileged groups. The first health project I want to accomplish throughout my career as a doctor is to establish a free clinic where affordable medical regardless of the patient's immigration status. The diverse health services would include free doctor consultations, low-price or free medication, and nutritional classes to prevent the presence of diabetes or heart disease. I also intend to provide an interpreter for patients in case they do not speak English and establish a financial assistance program to help patients who are not able to pay for any type of surgery that needs to be performed.

The second biggest career goal that I want to accomplish is to establish a non-profit organization where I can create internships for medical school students around the U.S., and allow them to travel to isolated communities around the world to provide free medical services. I also want to provide nutrition education to support these marginalized communities, especially indigenous groups from Latin American countries. This will help contribute to the physical development of kids and offer a solution to malnutrition.

I know that all of my goals will remain dreams if I do not complete my medical degree. Therefore, I am committed to working hard in school and looking for opportunities that could help me make my goals a reality.

your future plans essay

  • InterviewPenguin.com – Your best job interview coach since 2011

Interview questions answered: What are your future plans?

‘If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans’. Woody Allen was right, as the history has proven countless times. We can plan and dream and hope, yet we never have things completely under our control . A pandemic starts, or we get sick, or something positive happens–such as falling in love with a stranger, and suddenly we have to change our plans, or want to change them.

But what does it mean for your job interview? Should you philosophize about uncertainty of life , or should you come up with a precise and concrete answer , explaining what you want do in six month, three years, and ten years from now? You can actually succeed with both approaches to the question , as long as you explain your reasoning. As a rule of a thumb, however, you should try to connect your future plans with their company. This can mean internal promotion , but also having the same job for a foreseeable future, when there are no obvious career growth opportunities.

Let’s have a look at 7 sample answers to this interesting interview question. I tried to include in my selection answers for a variety of situations and jobs, including jobs nobody wants to have for longer than six months, as well as a couple of unconventional answers (philosophizing about vanity of planning in the uncertain world we live in), and also one answer that focuses primarily on goals and plans outside of work, and one answer for students (applying for a place in a study program instead of for a job). Go through them, think for a few seconds about each one, and pick one that resonates with you, and with the message you try to convey to the hiring managers.

7 sample answers to “What are your future plans?” interview question

  • To be honest, I do not have any big plans . I would enjoy working as a receptionist in a nice hotel with a great management, just like this one. My future plans are having a job I enjoy doing , finding good life-work balance, foster good relationships both at work and in my personal life, and simply enjoy every day as it comes and goes. Of course, I plan to continue working on my language skills , because I want to become better in my work. But when it comes to the job, I do not dream of changing my career, or of anything similar.
  • My future plans can be summed up in one sentence: to make a great career in this international corporation . Of course, I have some positions on my mind. A finance manager, later perhaps an FP&A director. As you can see I dare do dream big . At the same time, however, I realize I have to start here as an entry level financial analyst , learn the ins and outs of the job, prove my skills and dedication to work, and just then I can think of promotion and better jobs.
  • My future plans are yet to be decided . I am still young, and trying to find my calling . It is one of the reasons why I apply for a job with your company –because it is very big, you have many departments, offices overseas, and I feel that options are almost endless here, of course as long as you try hard and do not mind sacrificing something for your job . What exactly I will do, however, and where I will end up living, I cannot tell now. But I am excited about the future , and without a doubt I will come up with some tangible plans down the road.
  • Speaking honestly, I prefer to live in a present moment . Plans? God, I had many. You would not believe if I told you. But sometimes I wasn’t ready to pursue them , other times destiny stepped into my way . I learned the hard way that regardless of how hard we try, we never have things fully under our control. And it doesn’t matter whether we talk about personal life, or professional career. Future plans? They only bring me anxiety . Hence for the last few years I prefer living in the moment, focusing on the task at hand, and going with the flow . At the moment I try to get a job with your retail store . With my year of birth, however, no interview is easy anymore. I did what I could to prepare for this meeting. If I get the job, I will do my best every day, and let’s see what’s next. Living in the present is liberating .
  • I plan to start a family in five years time . It is my biggest dream as a woman–to have kids, and to be a good mother. Of course, we never know what the future will bring , and you need two people for starting a family. But this is my plan for the future, and I will try my best to pursue it. Speaking about my professional career , I’d be happy to work as a secretary until then, and then return back after maternity leave… Is there anything else you’d like to know about my future goals and plans?
  • I do not have any future plans . Had some in the past, things haven’t worked out, and I only ended up disappointed. In my opinion, when we fixate on something in the future –some object of our desire, be it another person, a job, or a nice thing we want to buy, such as a new house, our job and daily life becomes just a means to an end . We go to work and around our daily business just to achieve X and Y in the future. And that’s a recipe to depression and unhappiness. Why should we rob ourselves of the most precious thing we have–the present moment? I also learned that when we take care of the present, the future will take care of itself . What I try to convey here is that if I focus 100% on the task at hand, and do it well, and then repeat it again and again, there’s no doubt I will progress in my career . And that’s exactly what I try to do, and my way of living.
  • My future plan is to become a great nurse . It is something I have been dreaming of for years. Now I am just applying for a place at a nursing school, and I know I have a long road ahead of me. But I see the meaningful purpose in this job , know what I want to achieve in life, and I hope it will drive me forward in my studies, and help me overcome the challenges I will undoubtedly face while trying to earn my degree.

Show some excitement for the future, or for the present

Regardless of whether you opt for conventional approach, or philosophize about the vanity of planing in the 21st century, they should hear some excitement in your voice . And it doesn’t matter what job you are applying for, and how far it is from your “dream career”.

Of course, the main reason why we go to work is the need to earn money to live . That’s how it works in life, and it likely won’t be any otherwise in the future. If you want to avoid sleeping on the street , you have to create some value for others (in your job, or in your business)–unless you were born in a golden cage, but you probably wouldn’t be reading this article in such a case…

The point I try to convey here is that employers do not want to hire pessimistic and bitter employees , who do not see anything positive about their future. Show some excitement for what’s ahead , your job with them, good things awaiting you in your life outside of work, and so on.

your future plans essay

Make sure to have realistic future plans

Anything is possible and we can dream big, but you should try to keep it realistic in your interviews . For sure you can become a CEO of Tesla or General Electric one day. But it perhaps isn’t the best idea talking about such plans while you apply for an entry level role in these companies, or for a kitchen helper job at McDonald’s. It is just too farfetched.

Think about a position you can realistically have in a year, three years, five years, ideally within their organization, and focus on it while narrating your future plans. And if you are not sure, you can always opt for answer no. 4 or no. 6 on my list, focusing on present, and explaining why you prefer to do so .

Ready to answer this question? I hope so! Do not forget to check also sample answers to other tricky interview questions:

  • How do you handle success?
  • What is your greatest fear?
  • Why should we hire you, and not one of the other applicants for the job?

Future goals essay

Everyone has dreams and future goals that they strive to achieve. Some of them are close goals and a plan has been developed to achieve them, such as practicing a sports activity, studying in a specific specialization, learning a new language, and other models that are easy to reach and easy to achieve in the fastest time.

There are goals that are difficult to achieve, and these are often what a person leaves for an unknown time. Long-term goals are such as creating a family in the future and having as many children, or live in a big luxury house, or make a lot of money. Such things may be variable goals, we can achieve some of them, but in many cases, life passes without achieving these goals.

What do we need to achieve our future goals?

There is no doubt that every person can achieve any goals, no matter how difficult, if he sets a timetable for them and allocates a specific time to strive to achieve them.

Time management is 50% of your success in achieving your goals. And only the remaining percentage depends on your perseverance and determination in achieving this goal.

So I can say that it is great to get to know yourself well. You know what you need from life, and you have goals to strive for. That’s so cool, it’s better than living without goals.

My future goals

I would very much like to succeed in middle school and enroll in a university (type the name of the university). And join the specialty (type the specialty you want). I like very much excellence in this field, and it is good that it contains several benefits that are good for the individual and his family, such as insurance, good holidays and social status.

I have a job of (type in the name of the job) in mind for a long time, I am trying to get some training courses to help me advance in this specialization very easily.

I think it’s great for everyone to have goals that they want to achieve.

  • Future plans and goals essay

Undoubtedly, many people who live in the twenty-first century are now very familiar with plans and goals and set practical schedules to help them achieve their goals.

Of course, human development has made it clear to us many things related to organization and how to choose goals. It made us know more about ourselves, which helped us in setting future plans and goals that we want to achieve.

I want to achieve a lot of wonderful things that help the whole world, I would very much like to work in the International Therapy Organization, which will help me in the future to reach and communicate with all the people who are interested in providing humanitarian care, especially in the third world societies.

I would very much like in the future to be able to reach a reputable center that will allow me to provide medical assistance in diseases prevalent in these societies, such as hepatitis, virus C, virus A. And other diseases are endemic and left unattended for centuries.

I would very much like to do this in the future, therefore, I am now trying to achieve it through my great effort in studying.

My future goals short essay

There is no doubt that it is good for a person to be aware of what he wants in the future, whether it is the near or distant future.

Everyone has expectations for what he wants to achieve, so we set goals and try to organize them and strive to achieve them so that we can achieve what we love and aspire to.

I really like to organize my goals into three goals:

1- short term goals

I put in these goals things that I can achieve as small victories that only require a few days or weeks, such as writing a poem, attending a seminar, or participating in a voluntary social activity.

2- Medium-term goals

I put in these goals more important things that require an average period of two weeks to a month, such as winning a sport I play, such as soccer, trying to improve my computer, or improving the look of my room or perhaps painting the room. Such small victories I put in the mid-range goals.

3- long-term goals

I put a long period of time here like a year or more for more important dreams related to my future, such as saving to buy my own car, studying systematically to get specific grades that would lead me to my university goal. Such a big thing, I set long periods of time for it and keep working on achieving it.

These are my goals and my way of achieving them.

Essay on future plans and goals

I like very much to divide my future plans into tasks according to priority and the amount of effort that will be put into them.

I tend not to postpone today’s work for tomorrow, I like very much to pay attention to the work and duties required of me so that they do not accumulate and become difficult to do. So I divide my goals into three stages.

The first stage: express business, It can include plans such as buying clothes, going for a short fieldwork or going to the library. Such actions that require hours or a day I put them in the category of quick goals, record them and strive to achieve them.

The second stage is the work that requires time from a week to a month, such as joining strengthening classes, learning a language or training in a difficult sport movement. Such actions I put in the outline of the Mediterranean goals and I strive to achieve them.

The third stage is for the longest period of time, such as a year and more. These goals are difficult to achieve without long effort and diligence. such as saving money to buy my own car, or saving money to buy a modern gaming device, or mobile and maybe saving to buy a house in the future.

These are the plans and goals that I seek to achieve and how to work with them to succeed.

My future goals in life essay

It is great for a person to have future goals that he plans to achieve and have ambition and a future vision of what he wants to become in the future and the impact of his work on achieving his goals. I like to define my future goals according to their importance, as there are long-term goals, medium-term goals, and other short-term and quick goals.

So I always make a small note consisting of a question and answer, in the question I put the question where do you see yourself in five and ten years, and in the answer I put my career goals.

In this period of time, I try to focus on my big main goals, maintain them, not get distracted, and work hard to achieve my career goals.

Illustrative example of my goals

1- Short and fast goals

In this box, I put goals that can be completed in a short time, such as going to participate in a charitable work that requires me to go only a few times, or joining an educational class for a short period of time, perhaps two days or a week.

2- Medium time goals

I put here the goals that require me to work continuously for a month, such as working on a scientific research that will require me to deliver it after a month, or preparing for an important test, or training in a specific sport for a period of time before I officially join it so that I can be in a good level.

In order not to be distracted, I always put here the goals of my future professional life so that I can be on a straight line and not be distracted, and I work continuously and regularly on training and improving my abilities so that I can reach my dream.

This is how I work on my future goals and strive to achieve them, and this helps me a lot in being regular, estimating time and succeeding greatly.

Paragraph about goals in the future

Goals in the future are on the minds of many, and this is because everyone is afraid of tomorrow, and they do not know what will be in the future.

Therefore, many people set future plans and goals for themselves so that they can maintain the steps and goals they want to achieve. I also do that, as I put a future plan for the type of job I want to get in the future and some other things.

Example of my future goals

I would very much like to become a cardiac surgeon. I like this delicate specialization very much, but it is not an easy specialization and it requires effort, fatigue and a long stay.

Therefore, I am now striving to improve my grades and excel in my studies, in addition to learning some important medical terms.

From time to time I read some books in this specialty to get an idea of what I want and what its requirements are. I am also working on improving the accuracy of my fingers in thin areas by training in some types of anatomy of fruits such as grapes, trying to separate the outer peel without cutting, and some of these things that require skill and stability.

I hope that I can achieve my future goals and get the job I desire and be able to help many people.

Paragraph about future goals

Future goals give motivation and enthusiasm to live and achieve goals. This is how I feel when I set various and different goals and strive to achieve them. It gives me the feeling that there is a goal I live to achieve. I feel absolutely happy when I achieve any goal, whether it is big or small. I tend to divide goals according to my requirements and the time I have to achieve them.

Of course, there are big goals that I dream about, such as my strong desire to become a judge when I grow up. But, of course, this will not be achieved easily without hard work and diligence.

Therefore, I put this goal in the category of long-term goals, and put some steps for it that I am working on gradually, trying to achieve this goal, such as setting a daily schedule for studying and spending my lessons, and this is certainly an essential work. But beside it, I put an hour a day to review some legal articles and learn some of the basics and requirements that allow obtaining this job.

I dedicate time daily or weekly to learn some sentences and words, in addition to working on developing my self-confidence and improving my speech. I feel every day that I am improving a lot and getting a little closer to achieving my future goal.

But it is normal for me to have other goals as well, such as participating in some sports. I love basketball a lot and I love to practice it, and I also love swimming and I’ve been good at it since I was young. I set some goals for practice and improvement so that I can be part of the university team when I grow up.

I hope to achieve these goals, make my family members happy, and be able to help my father financially in some way.

My future plans short essay

Until recently, I didn’t have many future plans. I am a student in the stage (write your educational stage here). From the city of (type your city).

I love life and enjoy it a lot, I participate in many sports activities and I am very good at some of them. Two years ago I was completely different, I don’t give the future life any importance, I live my day, I enjoy, I study and I don’t do much.

Until we faced the Corona crisis and I faced the disease, and I knew that I was living incorrectly, whether in my diet, or the life I was following.

So recently, I made my future plans and decided to stick to them so that my life would be better in the future.

The plans for the future are:

1- Eat a healthy diet

I am now keen to eat healthy foods and pay attention to the types of foods that help in raising immunity mainly, and pay attention to the types of vegetables that I eat and know the benefits they contain.

2- The order of the study

I am now more interested in studying, and I do not do any sports activity unless I complete my homework and understand my lessons well so as to guarantee myself a future career in the future.

3- Develop future plans for the type of job I want to obtain and work in an attempt to achieve this, in addition to plans for other matters, whether short-term or long-term, and strive to achieve them individually and everything on time.

This makes me feel that I am accomplishing tasks, and I am very happy with achieving my goals and being successful in them.

And if I stop or fail in a task, I put it back and try to succeed in it or reach an advanced step that I have not reached before until I succeed in the end and complete the work.

This is how I set my future plans and work to achieve them.

Paragraph about my future goals

I like very much to set my future goals and try to achieve them or get close to achieving them in the largest way. This makes me feel challenged and victorious in self-realization.

I like very much choosing tasks according to the necessary time period, recording a goal and striving to achieve it, with the addition of searching for it, and how to complete it to the fullest, so as to shorten the time and complete the work before the time that I have registered, this makes me feel that I am fast and have sufficient determination.

I also like to make some long-term plans and goals for myself, such as university, graduation day, job, dream house, car. Such things I like very much to identify and strive to achieve.

Write a paragraph about your future plans

Undoubtedly, when we ask how you will be equipped in your future plans, some or many may be shocked, and not have a clear answer to what they want to achieve in life.

But I was recently able to define my goals and learn from the success stories surrounding me everywhere, and prepare future plans based on the guidance of experts and successful people in trade and industry. I divide my future plans into three sections, short term, medium term and long term.

1- short term

I put out everything that is fast and does not require delay.

2- medium term

I make plans for tasks that require less time, such as a week or a month.

3- long term

I put in it the most important future plans such as university, job, my favorite hobbies and what to achieve with it.

After following these methods, I found myself more organized and actually achieving many things that were always stuck for me, and I prefer to postpone them due to the lack of time management.
