Best friends are those with whom we have formed a deep and unique bond. What makes them remarkably special is that we chose them unlike with family. For this, some even consider their best friends to be extensions of themselves.

We all trust our best friends wholeheartedly; that’s why they are the best people to confide in. And many of the lasting memories in our lives are those that we create with them. These memories could be filled with waves of boisterous laughter or even the most piercing pain when your friendship is tested.

Read on and find essay examples and prompts that could motivate you to write about best friends.

5 Essay Examples

1. how friendships change in adulthood by julie beck, 2. diamonds are not this girl’s best friend by courtney carver, 3. how to tell your best friend you’re in love with them – by those who have taken the plunge by sirin kale, 4. my best friend died: a real-life guide to coping by gabrielle applebury, 5. is it normal to not have a best friend by viktor sander, 7 helpful writing prompts on essays about best friends, 1. describe your best friend, 2. hanging out with your best friend , 3. long distance friendship, 4. cutting off toxic best friends, 5. falling in love with your best friend, 6. famous literary friendships, 7. a dog is a man’s best friend.

“Hanging out with a set of lifelong best friends can be annoying, because the years of inside jokes and references often make their communication unintelligible to outsiders. But this sort of shared language is part of what makes friendships last.”

The above essay delves into the evolution of friendship throughout the different stages of our lives, from childhood and teen years to family life and retirement. While we have all deferred a meetup with friends several times to attend to family and work, many people still treat their friendship as stable and continuous, even in long lapses in communication.

You might also find these essays about camping trips helpful.

“My best friend is a magical, rooftop sunrise. My best friend is the ocean. My best friend is a hike in the mountains. My best friend is a peaceful afternoon. My best friend is a really good book. My best friend is laughter. My best friend is seeing the world. My best friend is time with people I love.”

This essay takes on a broader definition of a “best friend,” deriving from Marilyn Monroe’s famous quote: “Diamond are a girl’s best friend.” From having excessive material wants for every occasion, the author realizes that the greatest “friends” in life are not material things but the simple joys that nature and love can bring.

“It was supposed to go the way things do in the movies. Nora would tell her best friend that she loved him, he would feel the same way and then they would kiss – preferably in the rain. So when the 30-year-old arts manager declared her love for her best friend when they were still teenagers, she expected a happy ending.”

The essay by Srirn Kale treats its readers to compelling stories of best friends ending up in marriage and those parting ways because of unrequited love. But, before taking the bold step of declaring your love for your best friend, a relationship guru advises lovers first to read the signs that signal any reciprocity of these deep feelings.

“Losing a best friend may be one of the most difficult and heartbreaking experiences you have in your lifetime. If you aren’t sure how to process that your best friend died, know that there are many healthy options when it comes to coping with this type of loss.”

Coping with losing a best friend could lead to depression or even suicidal thoughts, especially if your best friend means the world to you. Some coping tips include journaling your grieving process to understand your emotions and confusion better and doing things that can relive your best friend’s memories.

“If you are happy with the friends you currently have, there’s no need to try making a best friend for the sake of it. You might have friends but no best friend; that’s perfectly OK. It’s not necessary to have a BFF.”

Not everyone has a best friend. Some would find this fact hard to believe, but a YouGov survey has shown that 1 in 5 of the US population claims to have no close friends. The essay, therefore, explores the reasons for this friendlessness and gives tips on building a bond with potential best friends, starting with your existing circle of acquaintances.

Essays About Best Friends: Describe your best friend

Begin this essay by describing what your best friend looks like and what traits you like most about them. Then, given these qualities, would you consider your best friend a role model? Your essay can also answer how similar you and your best friend are and what things you both agree on. But if you have more differences than similarities, write how you deal with them or put them aside.

In this essay, describe your favorite ways to hang out with your best friend. What do you like doing together? Describe what a day spent with your best friend looks like and which part you like most about your dates. If your conversations draw your mutual admiration for each other, then talk about what topics make you talk for hours on end and their perspectives on things that you find fascinating.

Do different time zones make friends grow apart? Or does distance make the heart grow fonder? First, interview two to three people whose best friends moved to a different country or city. Next, learn how frequently they communicate with each other. Finally, compile these stories and make a smooth transition to each one such that the structure highlights the challenges of long-distance friendships and how each set of friends gets by.

Discarding best friends is a hard decision. But it is also brave if you feel they are dragging you down. For this prompt, you can pose a list of questions readers can ask themselves to grasp the situation better. For example, is your friend doing you more harm than good? Have you set boundaries that they find hard to respect? Then, explain how reflecting on each question can help one determine when it is time to cut some ties loose.

Falling in love with your best friend can only end in two scenarios: a happy ever after or an end of a beautiful relationship. Expanding on our essay prompt above, list down more tips to know when it is best to confront your best friend about your feelings or work hard to quash your emotions for the continuity of the relationship.

Pick out best friends from novels that formed friendships that touched you the most. They could be Harry, Ron, Hermoine of Harry Potter, Frodo, Sam of the Lord Of The Rings, or even Sherlock and Watson From The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes. First, describe what it is in their friendship that you find most riveting. Then, narrate events that served as the biggest tests to their friendships and how they conquered these challenges.

What about dogs that some people find more lovable than others? Answer this in your essay by outlining the traits that make a dog the ideal best friend. For one, their loyalty makes us confident that they will not betray us. If you have a dog, write about the qualities that make your dog a reliable and fun companion. Then, narrate events when your dog proved to be your best friend.

How to Write a Descriptive Essay | Example & Tips

Published on July 30, 2020 by Jack Caulfield . Revised on August 14, 2023.

A descriptive essay gives a vivid, detailed description of something—generally a place or object, but possibly something more abstract like an emotion. This type of essay , like the narrative essay , is more creative than most academic writing .

Table of contents

Descriptive essay topics, tips for writing descriptively, descriptive essay example, other interesting articles, frequently asked questions about descriptive essays.

When you are assigned a descriptive essay, you’ll normally be given a specific prompt or choice of prompts. They will often ask you to describe something from your own experience.

  • Describe a place you love to spend time in.
  • Describe an object that has sentimental value for you.

You might also be asked to describe something outside your own experience, in which case you’ll have to use your imagination.

  • Describe the experience of a soldier in the trenches of World War I.
  • Describe what it might be like to live on another planet.

Sometimes you’ll be asked to describe something more abstract, like an emotion.

If you’re not given a specific prompt, try to think of something you feel confident describing in detail. Think of objects and places you know well, that provoke specific feelings or sensations, and that you can describe in an interesting way.

Proofread my paper

The key to writing an effective descriptive essay is to find ways of bringing your subject to life for the reader. You’re not limited to providing a literal description as you would be in more formal essay types.

Make use of figurative language, sensory details, and strong word choices to create a memorable description.

Use figurative language

Figurative language consists of devices like metaphor and simile that use words in non-literal ways to create a memorable effect. This is essential in a descriptive essay; it’s what gives your writing its creative edge and makes your description unique.

Take the following description of a park.

This tells us something about the place, but it’s a bit too literal and not likely to be memorable.

If we want to make the description more likely to stick in the reader’s mind, we can use some figurative language.

Here we have used a simile to compare the park to a face and the trees to facial hair. This is memorable because it’s not what the reader expects; it makes them look at the park from a different angle.

You don’t have to fill every sentence with figurative language, but using these devices in an original way at various points throughout your essay will keep the reader engaged and convey your unique perspective on your subject.

Use your senses

Another key aspect of descriptive writing is the use of sensory details. This means referring not only to what something looks like, but also to smell, sound, touch, and taste.

Obviously not all senses will apply to every subject, but it’s always a good idea to explore what’s interesting about your subject beyond just what it looks like.

Even when your subject is more abstract, you might find a way to incorporate the senses more metaphorically, as in this descriptive essay about fear.

Choose the right words

Writing descriptively involves choosing your words carefully. The use of effective adjectives is important, but so is your choice of adverbs , verbs , and even nouns.

It’s easy to end up using clichéd phrases—“cold as ice,” “free as a bird”—but try to reflect further and make more precise, original word choices. Clichés provide conventional ways of describing things, but they don’t tell the reader anything about your unique perspective on what you’re describing.

Try looking over your sentences to find places where a different word would convey your impression more precisely or vividly. Using a thesaurus can help you find alternative word choices.

  • My cat runs across the garden quickly and jumps onto the fence to watch it from above.
  • My cat crosses the garden nimbly and leaps onto the fence to survey it from above.

However, exercise care in your choices; don’t just look for the most impressive-looking synonym you can find for every word. Overuse of a thesaurus can result in ridiculous sentences like this one:

  • My feline perambulates the allotment proficiently and capers atop the palisade to regard it from aloft.

An example of a short descriptive essay, written in response to the prompt “Describe a place you love to spend time in,” is shown below.

Hover over different parts of the text to see how a descriptive essay works.

On Sunday afternoons I like to spend my time in the garden behind my house. The garden is narrow but long, a corridor of green extending from the back of the house, and I sit on a lawn chair at the far end to read and relax. I am in my small peaceful paradise: the shade of the tree, the feel of the grass on my feet, the gentle activity of the fish in the pond beside me.

My cat crosses the garden nimbly and leaps onto the fence to survey it from above. From his perch he can watch over his little kingdom and keep an eye on the neighbours. He does this until the barking of next door’s dog scares him from his post and he bolts for the cat flap to govern from the safety of the kitchen.

With that, I am left alone with the fish, whose whole world is the pond by my feet. The fish explore the pond every day as if for the first time, prodding and inspecting every stone. I sometimes feel the same about sitting here in the garden; I know the place better than anyone, but whenever I return I still feel compelled to pay attention to all its details and novelties—a new bird perched in the tree, the growth of the grass, and the movement of the insects it shelters…

Sitting out in the garden, I feel serene. I feel at home. And yet I always feel there is more to discover. The bounds of my garden may be small, but there is a whole world contained within it, and it is one I will never get tired of inhabiting.

The key difference is that a narrative essay is designed to tell a complete story, while a descriptive essay is meant to convey an intense description of a particular place, object, or concept.

Narrative and descriptive essays both allow you to write more personally and creatively than other kinds of essays , and similar writing skills can apply to both.

If you’re not given a specific prompt for your descriptive essay , think about places and objects you know well, that you can think of interesting ways to describe, or that have strong personal significance for you.

The best kind of object for a descriptive essay is one specific enough that you can describe its particular features in detail—don’t choose something too vague or general.

What Makes an Ideal Friend? Essay Sample, Example

Admin

Loyalty is a usual attribute given to ideal friends. According to Psychology Today, “Loyalty is valued early on in all of our relationships, from the time we make our first friendships. We need friends who won’t spill our secrets to others, gossip about us, or allow others to criticize us” (“The 13 Essential Traits of Good Friends”). The worst action between friends is double crossing one individual, or not keeping one’s word.

Also in the vein of loyalty, ideal friends are usually referred as being trustworthy. In a statement by Psychology Today, they say that, “Trustworthiness is often the “make or break” element in any interpersonal relationship. Any breach, regardless of perceived magnitude, can devastate a relationship. Trustworthiness is comprised of several components, including honesty, dependability, and loyalty, and while each is important to successful relationships, honesty and dependability have been identified as the most vital in the realm of friendships” (“The 13 Essential Traits of Good Friends”). In light of this, a ubiquitous pet peeve of friends is a lack of honesty, and this is at the heart of being trustworthy.

In line with being honest is also the capacity to show one’s weaknesses. According to the Book of Life, “The ideal friend doesn’t try to prove how robust and successful they are; on the contrary, quite often they let us know awkward and potentially embarrassing things about themselves. They show how much they trust us by confessing failings and sorrows which would open them up to possible humiliation from the world beyond. They offer us the gift of their vulnerability” (Cotton, Jess). That openness is treasured, as to be close to an individual, one must be willing to share his or her true feelings and states.

Caring is the essence of love, many say. In the words of ReachOut.com, “Friends will come and go in your life, but more important than how long your friendships last is your friends’ acceptance of you for who you are. A good friend walks the talk and shows that they care by their actions – big and small” (“What Makes a Good Friend?”). An ideal friend cares for your well-being over any issues that may arise between you two.

A part of caring is being reassuring. According to The Book of Life, “They don’t just flatter; they understand how easily we lose perspective, panic and underestimate our own ability to cope. They know we’ve got zones of fragility that need to be treated gently. Sometimes they get us to laugh at ourselves, when on our own we’d be inclined to self-pity or rage” (Cotton, Jess). Ideally, a friend will do his or her best to lift your spirits when you are down.

Another part of being uplifting is the quality of being inspiring. As The Book of Life says, “More often than it’s comfortable to admit, we don’t quite know what we think until a proper friend gently asks us to expand on a thought, to explain why we’re impressed by it and to find good answers to possible objections. They see the potential in what we’re saying when we can’t” (Cotton, Jess). So, an ideal friend allows us to expand on our ideas and for them to be greater than a momentary thought.

There are more qualities that could be spoken about when talking about an ideal friend. However, these are the most commonly mentioned. Being loyal, trustworthy, open to displaying weaknesses, caring, reassuring, and inspiring are often stated as attributes of an ideal friend.

Describe a friend essay

Describe a friend essay ,In this topic you will find many paragraphs so you can easily choose what you want and suitable for you and find that he describes you well and describes your friend and also you use the ideas in paragraphs and write an essay entitled with “describe a friend essay” .

The friend is the brother who was not born by our mother, is the heart friend and the support of the soul.

The friend fills heart with joy, and soul with passion and love of life, which relieves the burden of days.

Friendship is one of the finest blessings God has given us. Who lives without friends feels a deadly unity, does not laugh at his heart, does not find anyone who shares his joys and dreams, and finds no comfort in his grief.

The best friend is the one who never confides in your absence in front of others, defends you with all might.

Friend never allows anyone to remind you of evil; for he sees you as an extension to him, a complement to his soul and existence.

He is the one who guides you to the paths of goodness and prevents you from being lost in the paths of evil.

The friend helps you to reach the right life, because he feels responsible for you, does not abandon you in the crises of life ever, and does not pay attention to attempts to separate him away from you.

The friend does not allow the world to take him from you, prefers you to himself, gives you the right advice in file and saves you from every tightness you passing through. He is like your father when you need advice, your mother when you need containment and your brother when you need support.

He is the person who you cannot live without him, because life without him is like a dark house and an endless cave.

The friend is who do not encourage you to do injustice, and protect you if you are oppressed, and teach you obedience to Allah Almighty because he wishes you good from all of his heart. Loves you in God without any other interest, he wants you for you, not to pass through you to his personal interests.

The right friend is honest, does not dissemble and does not flatter.

The best friend does not ask you to justify any action you do, he is your defender weather you do right and wrong, your guide in front of yourself and in front of others, seek you excuse in all things, and beyond your failures.

Many friends impose requirements for friendship, but the best friend does not do so, but remains loyal without any condition or exchange.

In order to choose the best friend, you must choose him by your heart, away from the the eyes and the common interests.

Loyalty, love and sincerity must be reciprocal, because a friend is a reflection of the personality of his friend, and complementary to him.

Who adheres to the link of the sacred friendship, and always guides his friend to the way of good, Allah Almighty covers him in his shadow on the Day of Resurrection.

What a reward provided by the friendship to friends.

I always thank God that he sent Rahul into my life as my best friend, and I also wish that everyone has a friend like Rahul. Rahul and I met on the first day of school after the summer vacation when we were studying in the 5th standard.

I also remember an incident when our class teacher asked him about his previous school and the place from where he came. He is a good speaker, and he gave an interesting answer to everyone in his introduction in class.

He is good at studies and also a good athlete. He loves running and singing too, and his handwriting is also very neat and clean. I feel happy to become his friend, and he also loves my company, and we spend most of our time together.

My Best Friend Essay 200 Words

I have had a lot of friends since childhood, but Raghav is one of the kindest and most trustworthy friends for me. I must say that Rohan has been my best friend since childhood. He is a very good person and a true friend because he has a good manner that he never lies to anyone, and hates people who lie to him. He is a kind boy and also a sincere student. We both live in the same building, and our apartments are also in front of each other.

My parents also met my friend in the school at the parents-teachers meeting, and they also like Raghav and his sincerity. We both have been in the same class from the 3rd standard until now. We are in the 10th standard now, and we both help each other in the preparation for Board exams, which will be held in the month of March.

He always invites me to his house to play video games with him. Every Sunday, we both enjoy playing video games with popcorn and juice together. Sometimes, our school teachers also wonder about our true friendship and the strong bond between us. He has a set of badminton rackets and a shuttle, and we also play together in the evening near our building. We both love each other’s company.

My Best Friend Essay 300 Words

Everyone has at least a single friend who is more than just a friend to them. Getting a friend is common, but getting a true friend is very rare and a bit special. It is like a big achievement for people to get a trustworthy and lifelong best friend. I also had a best friend in my life too since childhood. His name is Ganaraj, and his mother is Telugu. We are neighbors too and also classmates. We always sit together in school and also spend most of the time together.

He is a very talented person and always supports me in my studies. We both like mathematics, and also we love to solve maths numerical problems. I like to play games, and we both always play games together and participate in the sports that are held in school. Our favorite sport is Cricket, and we both are good all-rounders on our school cricket team. Our class teacher always suggests and supports us to play cricket even better and also helps in education to achieve success in life.

He is very valuable to me, and I always value his friendship as I value my parents. He is like my family, as a brother from another mother. Whenever I need his help and support, my best friend is there for me to hold me. We both live in the precious moment and create memories that will stay with me forever. Our friendship is a kind of beautiful relationship, and I hope any kind will never break these mistakes. Every Sunday, we go together to a playground near our locality, and we spend most of our time there. My parents also like Ganaraj to be my friend. Everyone is happy with our friendship and has a strong bond that never goes down in any situation.

My Best Friend Essay 500 Words

My best friend’s name is Siddhart Jadhav. We have been friends since class 7th A in Alfred Nobel High School. We both studied in the same school in childhood but not in the same class as our sections are different. Later that time, all the students from all the sections are sorted according to the previous academics’ percentages and grades and separated into four different sections. Due to this separation, I met Siddhart in the 7th A, and we became friends at that time. Later, time goes by, and our friendship bond becomes stronger, and we become best friends with each other and spend most of our time together in school, tuition, and extra classes. We also sit on the same bench in the classroom.

Our likes and dislikes are also common, and we also love to dance and sing. In every annual gathering and other function that is held in our school, we both participate and give our best performances. We never wanted to win the competitions, our intention was to enjoy the gathering. Some of our school teachers don’t like our togetherness and friendship, but some of them loved and always blessed our strong bonded friendship to stay longer and longer. Siddharth and I always talked in the running classroom, and most of the time, our teacher also punished both of us by standing outside the classroom. We always tried to irritate the lecturer in the chemistry lectures by asking tons of doubts and questions. We eat tiffin boxes sitting on the last benches.

Apart from this naughtiness, Siddharth is very punctual, and he is never late for coming to school and attending classes. He always completes his homework at a given time and being with him, I also start studying very well and completing my homework on time. He keeps his books and copies very clean. His writing is very nice and encourages me to write cleanly and clearly for better understanding. My parents also compliment my friend that being with him, I also become responsible and a good student.

Siddharth and I are both excellent football players and athletes. When we both start playing the football game, the opponent team never wins. Our sports teacher always motivates us and tells us that we will become good football players one day. My parents also know Siddharth very much, and they like his pleasant behavior. Feel free when Siddharth and I stay together, whether for playing games, video games, study, or for going out to have fun with other classmates. Siddharth is my best friend, my first friend. He is the one who offers me help in my studies when I need it, supports me and always shows love to me, defends me, and stands by my side in any situation no matter what.

In academics, my best friend, Siddharth, is chosen to be awarded the best student of the year in the 10th class. He is one of the brilliant students of our school and also won many of the competitions that were held in school. He is like a well-wisher, and I always enjoyed his company. He, too, feels secure and relieved by spending time with me as well. He is like a problem-solving friend to me. I never wanted to lose him in my life.

Descriptive Essay on my Best Friend

Jump ahead to:

Here you have a Descriptive Essay on My Best Friend, Let’s Start…

Man can be a social being and naturally want to be involved with others. In our life journey, we meet countless people, but we make no friends with everyone. This is often the case with non-friendly sine qua intimacy, taste, and gentleness. The few that we find in love, we make friends with, and that they create a lasting place in our hearts. Friends are an essential part of your life, be it varsity, school life, office colleagues, or close friends. Everyone needs friends to share their feelings, spend time with each other, and relax. I am lucky to have such a friend in my life that I can only rely on in love or money. Whether sharing my feelings, my good and bad times, and sometimes even my clothes, I enjoy everything with him. His name is Rishi.

The first meeting with my best friend at school

While I was in class 2, Rishi joined our school and our style. Her parents had recently moved to our city, and she was there, for the first time, in the middle of a new town, a new school, a new class, and new people all around. Fortunately, my teacher sat her in the classroom with me. At first, she was embarrassed to be touched, but we both felt comfortable with each other in the day. After that, when we met on the day, we realized that we had a lot in common, allowing us to meet more quickly. Since then, there has been no turning back.

Our friendship

Our friendship gradually became a stage interview, and we gradually became close friends. Even our teachers understand that too. But, after all, no one ever tried to make the distance between us as we were so full of each other that even our teachers and fogeys felt happy about it. We want to help each other with class notes and homework if one of us cannot go to varsity for any reason. We had this healthy competition for who would stand first in the classroom.

Our interests are the same

Apart from the courses, we both have a common interest in Ping pong. We have both joined the academy and want to choose to get involved together in the evening. Perhaps the only difference in our habits was when I used to be right-handed; he was a left-handed person. But this was also a blessing for us because, for this reason, we formed a loyal team and even were selected by our college team to play as a double team. We both won many competitions together and brought praise to varsity. This also made our parents, as schoolteachers, very happy about us.

Different ways of working

We parted after our studies, and we both chose different career paths. While I was still an engineer, Rishi visited a town to become a scientist. However, as life would have been, we both moved into the same city and met again after some years. My friend has been a vital force in my life. Over the weekend, we went on a short cooking course again, and that we were sometimes kicked out without realizing we were going to work together in the kitchen to make creative dishes. Sometimes these dishes end well; however, there are times when we do not nail it down as we have not correctly followed the formula. Our wives think and do not rebuke us too much after ruining the meal. My friend and I are grateful to watch movies together at times or on tours. We like to watch jokes. Horror movies don’t make us happy, and we try to get back to it.

My Friend – My Strength

In my times of need, my friend has been a pillar of strength for me. Not only did he look to find out if I was solving my problems, but he also made sure my family was not affected by the chaos of my business life. He has always encouraged me to deal with problems as they are and not to get drunk under challenging circumstances. I’m glad I have such a friend in my life that I can’t believe in blindness.

Why a Friend Is So Important (His friendship is essential in life)

True friendship is a vital thing in the world. Or, it may be that a person does not have a friend whom one can call a friend. However, once you are ready to find the type of partner for you, it is probably the best pleasure in the world. Anyone else cannot make love and trust that your friend in the world can show. A relative is a precious asset in a person’s life. A friend of a person is the closest and most special person in a person’s life. A friend is someone with whom we share all the most essential things in our lives. Best friends support each other in every sound, bad, wrong, and right situation. The only person in the world who will give you the same love and devotion as your parents and loved ones is your best friend. In any critical situation, the main person who touches my mind is my friend. Whenever I have a problem, my friend helps me cover it up by providing the most straightforward solutions. My friend gets angry when I do something wrong, and she cheers me up when I do something wrong. My friend is helping me to become a better person. We plan our weekends and have fun together. My friend is the one who makes me happy and deserves all my love and recognition. My friend has always been my network and my strength. Friendship can be a great blessing in anyone’s life. One becomes acquainted with different people during their lifetime. We find two who think about our height and taste the exact nature in the middle of it. We are very attached to those people and spend a lot of time with them. Gradually, there is a growing relationship that seems to go away from staying longer in one’s life. It is a sign of a healthy relationship, so the friendship begins here. And for most people, being friends is almost family. You and your friends will have much in common. You spent a lot of time together with your friends, Can share anything and everything with your friends. In short, the most memorable moments in everyone’s life will be those spent with simple friends. Even though we live hundreds of miles away, we can still call or text today. Wherever we go, memory connects us and arranges to meet once every three months. We talk about events that happen in our lives, like our bad times when we meet, remember our good old days, take every minute in pictures, and split up again.

A friend is anyone who has a bond with him, and mutual understanding builds a relationship. One can have many friends who rely on a social character and, therefore, easily communicate with others. At different stages of life, we would like friends who are our age, but that is not an option for some people because they believe they are working independently, which is always okay. Psychologists recommend that people be together to help each other in times of need. There is also the undeniable fact that ways to deal with anxiety are happier when friends are involved. A lover can be anyone, but a partner is usually the person you value, first of all, your friends. A good friend is like a family. I hope you liked this story from my best friend.

Best Friend ( descriptive writing of a friend) 2 Pages 443 Words

A tall, sleek girl, with hair that falls just above her shoulders, Carrie seems like a model, but get to know her and discover so much more. This girl makes life seem fun again; she has the ability to lift my spirits by just being herself. She has taken responsibility to a new level and still has time to joke. Many people say we act alike, but I think I could actually call her a role model.              Above her dark brown eyes lies a perfect set of full eyebrows. Her rounded face sits atop her shoulders with a brilliant smile. Her perfect little nose accents her face nicely. Her body curves to form a figure any male would fight for. But there is more to her than beauty, I have only begun to tell you of a wonderful person that I can call my best friend.              Carrie can make me smile simply by being herself, a show that many need to lift their spirits. She loves to listen to my problems and interject advice that could help ma through my struggles. Many times I am mystified by her ability to just sit and listen to a poor soul like me pour out my mind, but she sees it as an opportunity to let someone "unload." She seems to be enlightened on all aspects of life, such as family and relationships, and finds it easy to relate to almost anyone or anything.              A quality that I find most intriguing about her is that she can take any situation and make the best of it. To be able to go to Goodwill and use it as a playground, proves that she can have fun in any situation. Though the most horrible things can happen to her, like hitting a deer, she never seems to be having a bad day. Laughing comes naturally to her and she can bring joy into the most barren situation.              She seems to be the most responsible person I know. Just being able to control a full-time job and still do well in school amazes me. She does not stop there though, she can also manage to maintain a great relationship with her boyfriend, still be an active member of her church, an              ...
