Essay on My House:  The world consists of all types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some aren’t. Especially in a country like India, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line . To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls and a roof.

It is my parent’s hard work that has given us this blessing. Many people in today’s world are always complaining about the things they don’t have. The person who has a house wants a bungalow. The one who owns a bungalow wants a palace. The one living in a palace wants an island. This never-ending cycle goes on. However, if we look at the people below us rather than those who are above us, we will be happier.

An Underrated Blessing

Having a house is an underrated blessing. If you have not realized it yet, you can go and ask any person who doesn’t have a house. Only then will you realize what a great blessing it is to have a house. Houses do not necessarily have to be luxuriously filled with the latest amenities. A house is complete if you have a roof over your head.

Moreover, if you have your loved ones around, then there can be no greater blessing. You must realize the importance of your house before it gets too late. Even I never knew how precious my house was up until one incident that changed my outlook.

We had house help growing up. The maid who used to work for us always came early in the morning and would leave in the evening. Even when my mother asked her to leave early as she completed the work on time, she never did that. On the other hand, she used to do extra work. Later we found out that she never really had a house. It was just a hut which had one chair and one folding. And that she liked spending time most of the time at our house because she had access to all basic facilities like electricity and clean water.

This incident made me realize how I took my house for granted. It is truly an underrated blessing which is overlooked by others. We must value our homes before it gets too late.

I live in my ancestral home with my grandparents, parents, and siblings. My grandfather built this house with his hard work. It has four rooms, one kitchen, two bathrooms, and a patio. My house is at least fifty years old.

I admire the beauty of my house. The vintage vibes make it even more beautiful. My grandparents have a small garden in the patio which adds greenery to my house. Moreover, it also has two trees. One is a pomegranate tree and the other is a Henna tree. They provide us with shade and sweet fruits.

My house was built close to where my neighbourhood is. My family and I had been living in a government-provided flat during my father's time in the military. However, my parents decided amicably to relocate to our town and stay there only for the duration of the service term. Our home was already in my village. We have five bedrooms, a kitchen, and a spacious veranda. There is also a little cottage for us. It is the ideal spot to reside in the summer. In metropolitan settings, the size of the building is more significant than the homes. The fields close to my house are a wonderful shade of green. It made us more aware of how lovely our home was.

Spaces Outside My House

There is a lot of open space in front of our house because my house was built on a pitch. My father built modest animal shelters for cows and dogs in this area and used them for gardening. For the same, some construction work was also done. We set up food and water for the local wildlife and birds. Together with my family, these activities turned my home into the cutest place to live. I reside in a beautiful home part of a colony in a tiny town adjacent to the city. Our home was just built recently, and we just moved in. Four rooms total two stories, including a living room, kitchen, dining room, terrace, and basement. Within the compound, we have enough room to create a garden. Our garden has a wide variety of vegetables and blooming plants planted.

My room offers a large balcony on the first level with a panoramic view. It also allows me to set up my telescope and see the night sky comfortably. We have a sizable kitchen with a door leading to the backyard garden. My parents enjoy their tea on the lawn every evening in the kitchen garden.

Our terrace is my favourite feature of my home. The top of our home has a sizable open area that is tastefully furnished for relaxing. On the balcony, there is a big swing that I enjoy using to spend my evenings reading my favourite books. Occasionally, I will invite my friends to play catch on the terrace. The open terrace is stunning to look at at night. I can see the moon and all the stars when the sky is clear. I prefer to lie down and count the stars on such clear evenings.

Our home is situated in a lovely and warm neighbourhood. My father often gets fruits and veggies from a small market nearby. We have excellent neighbours as well. They are generous and compassionate people who are always willing to lend a hand. I adore my brand-new home and all of its exquisite amenities. I prefer to spend time at home somewhere else.

My Dream House

We currently reside in a little house; thus, my future dream is to own my own home. To live with my parents, sisters, and me in my ideal home would be fantastic. A house should have all the amenities, such as functional bathrooms, kitchens, and spacious rooms. Instead of a large mansion, I always dream of a place that makes me feel happy, secure, and a part of something.

Space and Ventilation: There would be enough space throughout my home and sufficient ventilation. This will also contribute to making the house feel alive and airy.

Garden Space: In my home, there would be room for gardening because plants assist in purifying the air and look nice.

Balcony: My room would have a patio that led out to the exterior, giving me a view of the outside of my home. My ideal home would have a nice front view of a playground or a park.

Living Room: My home will have vibrant rooms thanks to the employment of various colour tones. I wish to have a reading area constructed in my house.

The ideal place to provide us with security, love, and affection is at home. We feel the most at ease and liberated there. I adore my home and the lovely family members who make it their own.

I live in a gorgeous house inside a colony in a small town next to the city. Our house was constructed recently, and we moved in a few months ago. It is a two-storied building with four rooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, terrace, and a basement. We have plenty of space within the compound to build a garden. We have planted many different types of flowering plants and vegetables in our garden.

My room is on the first floor with a big balcony that has a panoramic view. It also enables me to set up my telescope and observe the night sky comfortably. We have a big kitchen with a door that opens to the garden in the back. My parents take their tea on the lawn every evening in the kitchen garden.

My favourite part of my house is our terrace. It is a vast open space on the roof of our house which is nicely decorated for spending leisure time. There is a large swing on the terrace, on which I love to spend my evenings reading my favourite books. Sometimes I also call my friends over, and we play catch on the terrace. At night, the open terrace is breathtaking to look at. I can see all the stars and the moon as well when the skies are clear. I like to lie down and count the stars during such clear nights.

Our house is located in a very friendly and nice locality. There is a small market near my house from where my father brings fruits and vegetables every morning. We also have very good neighbours. They are kind and generous people who are ready to help at any time. I love my new house and all its beautiful features. I enjoy spending time in my house more than anywhere else.

From these examples of compositions on My House, children can gather plenty of ideas on how to write an essay on their own. This essay is also a great opportunity for your children to express their thoughts and feelings about their home. It also helps them observe their house in better detail than ever before, as they write their observations in words.

Our house has a special place in our hearts. It is the place where we feel safe and secure. From the examples above, children can pick up ideas and craft their own compositions on the topic.

This week, Imaginary , the new horror movie from Blumhouse, finally comes to VOD. Not interested? That’s all right; there’s tons of other exciting new releases to choose from this weekend. Lisa Frankenstein , the new horror comedy from Jennifer’s Body writer-producer Diablo Cody, comes to Peacock this weekend, along with the dark comedy When You Finish Saving the World starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard on Netflix. There’s also plenty of other intriguing VOD releases, including the 4K remaster of Stop Making Sense , the culinary romance drama The Taste of Things , and more.

The Wages of Fear

The third remake of Henri-Georges Clouzot’s classic 1953 thriller follows a team of drivers who are tasked with a deadly mission: Deliver two truckloads of highly volatile nitroglycerine across a desert to douse a deadly gas explosion. This version of The Wages of Fear stars a cast of big-name French talent, including Alban Lenoir of Lost Bullet fame.

When You Finish Saving the World

Ziggy (Finn Wolfhard), a high school student with a passion for folk music, and his mother, Evelyn (Julianne Moore), the head of a women’s shelter, just can’t seem to get along. As their relationship increasingly frays, the two begin to seek out emotional reciprocity in others and question what it is exactly they are searching for in their relationship, in Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut.

Kathryn Newton ( Freaky ) stars as Lisa, a lonely and misunderstood teenage girl who finds love in the most unexpected of places: the reanimated corpse of a Victorian-era man (Cole Sprouse).

From our review :

Many of Lisa Frankenstein ’s individual scenes are strong, but like the decaying male lead, the movie could use more connective tissue. One of the movie’s first scenes takes place at a party, and drags on way longer than it needs to, burying Lisa in the shuffle of moving parts. When Lisa first encounters the Creature, there’s an involved sequence as she runs away from him, through the house, ultimately dangling out of a window in an effort to get away. But not even a full minute later, she’s tenderly taking care of him, before she even recognizes that he’s the same man whose grave she’s been enamored with.

Desperate to woo her, Dodin takes up cooking in order to prepare a meal that will sweep her off her feet.

After learning that he has only six months to live, a deadbeat college professor makes a last-ditch effort to realize his dreams and not be such a lousy person. Incidentally, he’s also sleeping with the wife of his “best friend,” who hates him. Wow!

Genre: Horror thriller Run time: 1h 44m Director: Jeff Wadlow Cast: DeWanda Wise, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun

This supernatural horror film from director Jeff Wadlow ( Kick-Ass 2 ) follows the story of Jessica (DeWanda Wise), a children’s book author who returns to her childhood home with her new family. Jessica’s stepdaughter Alice forms a bond with her old stuffed teddy bear, and things quickly grow out of hand when she starts committing gruesome acts on behalf of her new imaginary friend.

It’s tempting to try to read into this labyrinth of digressions to try to find some kind of meaning or intention, but Imaginary never makes that feel worthwhile. There isn’t a single character in the movie who feels worth rooting for, and the performances are entirely devoid of charisma. The script, written by Wadlow, Jason Oremland, and Greg Erb, is full of wooden dialogue that’s stiff and often feels almost completely nonsensical. Characters sometimes introduce new information like it’s a fact the audience has known forever.
