I used to look up to celebrities growing up and many of them were my role models. But, as I got older, I realized that my favourite personality is right in front of me. My father with whom I live, eat and sleep.

He is the one who has helped me become a better human being. Moreover, my father is the one I thank for my healthy and protected life. My father is a kind man who is very polite. He always likes helping out others.

Moreover, he also teaches us good manners and helps us feel grateful for all we have. As he is very polite, my neighbours also love him. He knows how to make others feel comfortable.

Most importantly, my father always helps out those in need. He will go out of his way to help strangers when they need it. As he is a God-fearing person, I have learned to have faith in my father.

My father is the pillar of my family . He holds us together and makes us strong. I have always seen him sort everything out between us members if we ever get into a fight. He does not show any biases to anyone but loves everyone equally.

My father is also a great teacher because I never seem to forget whatever he teaches me for my school homework and exams. Whenever I do something wrong, he never scolds me but explains to me where I went wrong. My father is my role model.

If I had to choose my favourite personality, it would be my father. Let me explain why I consider my father my role model:-

He is one and all for me. He is jovial, that is, he always makes me laugh. He helps me in fulfilling my goals. I consider him my role model.

My father is my favourite personality. He has been a constant source of inspiration and guidance in my life. He is a man of great integrity and a hard worker who has always led by example. He is the one who taught me the importance of honesty, responsibility and the value of hard work.

I remember a real-life incident from my childhood that perfectly illustrates the kind of person my father is. When I was around 10 years old, my family and I were on a trip to a nearby city. We were shopping in a mall when I saw a toy that I really wanted. I begged my father to buy it for me, but he refused, saying that we had already spent enough money on the trip. I was disappointed, but I didn't understand why he was being so strict.

After we left the mall, my father took me aside and explained that we didn't have a lot of money, and that every purchase we made needed to be carefully considered. He said that he didn't want me to grow up thinking that I could always have whatever I wanted, and that I needed to learn the value of money. I didn't fully understand at the time, but I knew that my father was trying to teach me an important lesson.

On weekends, we cook together and also go for hangouts. My friends also like her very much. She cooks very delicious meals for my friends as well. They often come at my house to meet my mother too. She is also obsessed with cleanliness and always makes sure to keep the house clean.

She made me who I am today. She taught me how to be selfless, humble and caring towards others. She never bounded or restricted me from anything but she taught me one thing that there is a fine line between right and wrong and I must know what is right for me.

It is because of her trust and faith in me that I am a confident person today. I never heard her of speaking ill about anyone. The way she has grown in the past few years amazes me.

She is not just an ordinary woman. She loves to read, write and paint. She is always eager to learn and read more. We also play games and I know she always lets me win. She is the humblest lady I have seen in my entire life.

Being an Indian and a Bengali, I cannot imagine any other person as My favorite personality other than Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The image of a true leader that I have in my mind is his. He can be placed among the true patriots who fought for the country and made his place in history for his contribution to Indian freedom fighting. Now let’s begin with – My favorite personality essay.

Born on the 23rd of January 1897 , in Cuttack to Pravabati Devi and Janakinath Bose. His father was an advocate by profession and wanted him to join the same profession as he was a brilliant student from childhood.

He completed his bachelor’s in1918 in Philosophy from Presidency College, Kolkata. He followed Swami Vivekananda and believed in his teachings. His patriotic personality started to come out from his childhood when he was just a student.

He refrained from the Indian Freedom Struggle due to his parent’s wishes. They wanted him to prepare for Indian Civil Services and sent him to England for the same. He got selected but did not want to work under the British Government.

He resigned from the civil services on the 23rd of April, 1921, and went back to India as soon as he heard about the problems that India was facing because of British rule.

His Contributions Toward India’s Independence

After coming back, Subhas Chandra Bose joined the Indian National Congress and started working under Mahatma Gandhi. He also worked with Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das and, within a short span, acknowledged him as his Guru and was deeply impressed and influenced by his work.

He played an immense role in influencing the laborers, students, and youths. His vision was to make India a federal, republic, and independent nation.

In 1938 he was made the President of the Indian National Congress. He was the head of the youth wing of the party. He was extremely skillful and was also a big part of the trade union movement.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was again reelected as the President of the Indian National Congress, but this was a short rein as his ideologies did not match with Mahatma Gandhi , and he resigned.

House Arrest

Bose was put under house arrest by the British government because of his opposition. In 1941 he left the country for seeking help from the Europe government against the British. Not only the Europeans but also got us support from the Russians and Germans as well.

In 1943, Netaji went to Japan as they gave their contract against in appeal. It was in Japan where Netaji started the formation of the Indian National Army. Most importantly, he formed a temporary government.

He took over the Indian National Army or the Azad Hind Fauj in Singapore. He formed this by gathering mainly the prisoners with the support of Japan. After that, they took over Imphal and Kohima from the British government. This is how he got the army inside India and made a solid plan to root the British empire out.

The bombings of August 1945 in Hiroshima changed history altogether. Japan surrendered. The defeat of Germany and Japan in World War II forced INA to pull back, and their objective could not be fulfilled.

But Netaji refused to surrender without a fight and made an escape. The plane crashed, and due to the mysterious circumstances, it was considered that Netaji died on the 18 th of August,1945 due to the plane crash.

His Ideologies

Subhas Chandra Bose wanted complete freedom for India , whereas the Congress Committee wanted freedom in phases. They wanted to achieve that by Dominion status.

Besides, Bose was elected as the President of the Indian National Congress for two successive terms. But there were differences in ideologies between Gandhiji and Netaji. Because of this, he resigned from the committee. He did not believe in the on-violence approach that Gandhiji had.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose took advantage of the Second World War against the British government. He inspired the youth in a way nobody else could. He said, “give me blood and I will give you freedom,” and that inspired the youth. They were tired of the torture and wanted freedom at any cost. Netaji was the leader who promised them that.

The Unsung Hero

His selfless contributions to India’s Freedom movement and forming the Azad Hind Fauj are among the few things that this country cannot forget. His struggle was highlighted during the Civil Disobedience Movement, and he was also arrested for the same. He was arrested 11 times.

During his speech to inspire the army, he gave slogans that Indians will never forget. His slogans like “ Delhi Chalo ,” “ Jai Hind ,” and “ give me blood, and I will give you freedom ” are still very much alive in the Indian mind.

He was the perfect fit to lead young India and bring freedom to the country. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose sacrificed in whole life for the country and did not even think about anything else for a split second. He could have had a bright future in England, but he chose to live for his country and died for his country in the end.

Due to his dedication and hard work, Mahatma Gandhi called him a “ Patriot of Patriots .” the love he had for his motherland and the leadership he showed for the people got him the title of ‘ Netaji ,’ which described him the way he should be.

He will live in the hearts of the people forever. Even today, when people want to give an example of a rebellious person who would do anything for this country, his name comes up. He will be remembered forever as the Hero who contributed his life to India.

His ideologies might be different, but in the end, those worked the way he wanted, even if he didn’t get to see that. There is a controversy about his death . Some say he died in the plane crash, and some say he didn’t. This is a topic that can be discussed another day.
