To explore the human dependence on technology in the essay, I will start with the basics. Human beings are creatures with the ability to solve problems by creating physical solutions. That is why people came up with technologies to depend on.

Technology refers to the use and knowledge of techniques, tools and systems to solve problems. It is also used to serve other specific purposes to the extent that it has become a part of our society.

People develop and rely on various technologies for many reasons. However, what is disturbing is that technology has made us overly dependent on its existence. We have become lazy, as electronics tend to replace human resources.

So, do we rely on technology too much? This essay argues that electronics are very helpful and handy except when people misuse them.

Overdependence on Technology

People have become overly dependent on technology making them more of consumers than innovators. They are not creative and are not willing to do simple physical activities.

Most people agree that technology in itself is not bad only that we sometimes misuse it. Technology has made life more comfortable and easy. For example, food products that are easily perishable when put under normal conditions can now stay longer as a result of modern technology.

Besides, time used to prepare food has been greatly reduced thanks to new machines as well as equipment. On the communication front, great advancements have been made that allows people to communicate, do business, distribute information and access information instantly in their living rooms or wherever they are. We now live in a global community due to technology. It has also improved healthcare through the modern machines, equipment and medicine.

Mortality rates have gone down in most countries of the world due availability of vaccines and modern treatment forms. In the industrial sector, modern machines that improve efficiency have been developed and this has improved productivity. Generally, technology has greatly changed the world (Laura 3).

Despite the good things that technology has enabled us achieve, it has developed in us one major disease which is overdependence on it. Most people argue that technology helps as save productivity time and that we are now able to do jobs that were considered difficult and risky doing manually (Laura 3).

However, to a greater extent technology has induced laziness in us. Take an example of a pupil in an elementary school doing simple arithmetic. Pupils today are not even able to do simple additions without the use of a calculator. Today people have become so lazy that they can not even do simple spell checking; they have to use spell checking software.

This means that technology is quickly reducing our ability to think. We are becoming more of consumers than innovators and developers. We are leaving a few people to do the innovations while we wait to purchase and use. Overreliance on technology has immensely reduced our creativity as we have become too lazy to think.

Although some people argue that technology provides inspiration as well as motivation to be more creative in jobs (Digital Trends Staff 4), these are just a very small percentage that can use technology to increase creativity. Most are just consumers even at workplaces.

People have become lazy and fat nowadays as a result of technology. We usually prefer to use technology to exercise. Technology makes life easier, therefore some people would prefer to drive even short distances than to walk or use a washing machine to wash clothes than to wash manually.

Technology is essential as it makes things be done faster and people to reach their destinations faster (Digital Trends Staff 5), but what about health. Exercise is crucial for our lives as it helps us burn fats and makes us physically fit and in good bodily shape. In place of exercise activities such as playing football, people have turned to computer games or watching videos on Youtube (Digital Trends Staff 4).

Exercise also increases the ability of our bodies to fight against some diseases. Advances in technology have also brought modern equipment used in the gymnasium today. However, these may be too costly as compared taking a free short walk or some exercises in the yard.

Overdependence on technology has made us become sedentary and therefore diseases that did not exist in the 18 th century and below have now become a great threat to our livelihoods. Some people argue however that these diseases are not new and that even the past generations had struggled to survive with them but failed to get rid of them until our generation developed technology to understand the diseases and how to get rid of them.

Most people will agree with me that even with technological advancements in medicine, some diseases such as AIDS still threaten human life because there is no cure for them. We rely so much on “chemical” medicine. We need fluid thinkers, researchers and explorers who are able to make traditional medicine which could be very helpful and cheaper in some instances. Traditional medicine could help us find cures as well as vaccines for some of these deadly diseases.

Most technology that we use is electrical and we highly depend on them in many ways, but what happens when power goes off. A simple power cut brings our lives to a stand still. Over-dependence has made us integrate technology in our lives that we can not do without it (Laura 4).

Technology is very useful in our lives; however, how we use it is sometimes bad. We have depended so much on it that we can no longer think; creativity has gone done and we have become lazier. Every minute of our lives depends on technology that we can not even do simple physical activities.

Introduction

How dependent are we on technology, dependence on technology leads to less thinking, dependence on technology leads to less meaningful communication, adverse effects on children dependent on technology, positive effects of technology.

“Are we too dependent on technology?” is a popular question for debate. Many think that people’s dependence on technology is becoming too much. Others believe that humans are not dependent on technology and that reliance on automation has mostly positive effects. This dependence on technology essay aims to answer whether people have become overly dependent on technology.

Technology is a positive thing. The constant advancement in technology means that the execution of duties is becoming easier. Notably, improvements in the use of technology in the medical field have enabled doctors to save more lives.

Similarly, the automation of key processes at the workplace implies that the work environment is not only safer, but productivity is also higher. In fact, it is through technology that parents can stay in touch with their young ones studying abroad. People are now globally connected as a result of using technology. As it is, every action people have to carry out is dependent on technology.

However, the use of technology is raising concerns. First, technology has increased entertainment platforms among particular demographic groups, especially the youths who are constantly hooked on their gadgets for a long time.

Further, the over-reliance on technology is draining the healthy habits that people once used to have, leading to numerous health issues. Under this premise, I concur that people have become overly dependent on technology.

First, the use of technology implies that people are doing less thinking daily. One study has shown that constant use of the brain hinders the development of diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia in old age. In fact, proper brain development commences during early childhood when children engage in games like puzzles. Unfortunately, people in this generation work their brains less than required (Anderson and Rainie 2).

Reasons Why People Have Become Overly Dependent on Technology

In fact, people take out their calculators even for the simplest of calculations. Juggling one’s memory to remember a friend’s or relative’s number is a thing of the past. People no longer do all the thinking when there are phones with the ability to store contacts. As a result, people’s mental ability is reduced significantly, making them prone to dementia and memory loss as they age.

However, the problem is not the technology; the problem is how people use the technology. Technology is meant to aid processes, increase efficiency as well as productivity, and make life easier. However, people exploit technology by applying it even in simple tasks (Anderson and Rainie 5).

If technology would be applied as a tool other than a means of escaping reality, then its contribution to society would be seen and appreciated. However, people who sit and play video games all day make technology appear like a bad influence, yet some people play these games for relaxation and do productive jobs.

Secondly, through the influence of technology, people have stopped having quality communication with each other. Technology has invaded every aspect of life, making it hard for people to have meaningful conversations.

Notably, technology seems so convenient that word of mouth looks pretty unnecessary. For example, two friends in the same room will likely message each other than directly speak to one another. Most people have taken up the use of gadgets like iPhones and iPads, thereby spending a lot of their time on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

It means that even though people would initially meet and greet, it is no longer possible as they can communicate over the Internet, consequently limiting physical contact. Such an over-reliance on technology implies that most meaningful conversations between people are lost, leading to poor family bonding (Saidam 4).

Nevertheless, reliance on technology is essential in this digital age. The world has evolved into a digital platform, where anybody that has not joined the digital world is left behind on new developments.

Essentially, technology makes communication among people easier and can impact many people at a go without having to do bulk communication. Take, for example, a company doing job advertisements over the Internet. The adverts will likely be spotted and gain more audiences than when placed in a newspaper.

The primary reason for this phenomenon is that the world has evolved into a digital age, where people are slowly getting away from traditional means of communication. Further, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter save people the costs and inconveniences of traveling many miles to communicate, while it is possible to do so online.

The belief that technology is an essential application camouflages the various dangers associated with its use. It is believed that one way to stay afloat in the world today is keeping with trends of technological advancements and being part of the group. This way, one is kept updated and aware of what is happening worldwide.

Therefore, there is a need to join social sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. One downside of operating these sites is requiring personal information before activating an account. Further, one has to link up with their friends and give personal details like their date of birth and location, among others. While adults may exercise dissemination of such information with caution, youths may not.

Thus, it is easier for anyone to get vital information about individuals, stalk them, and manipulate the information for their benefit. Besides, sharing such information should be a private business and not public, as everyone can gain access to you from wherever they are located. Notably, privacy is an essential element of life that is highly violated using technology.

The general population’s health is deteriorating with the advent of technology and the technological age. First, technology is applied for many purposes, even for the simplest tasks. Among the tasks are simple mathematical calculations that are manually feasible.

However, people choose to use their gadgets even when unnecessary because they do not want to leave their comfort zones. Not very long ago, children used to enjoy outdoor games. They would go around playing with other children in their community and, in the process, boost their stamina and immunity. Such interactions exposed the children to social life and various challenges like solving conflicts.

As a result, these children were smart in life and grew up as better people. It is not the case nowadays; the trend is that young children are exposed to games like PlayStation, gamepads, and joysticks rather than communal games. In effect, the children grow up with low self-esteem and communication problems as they are not used to being around people (Anderson and Rainie 2).

Further, their thinking is limited to themselves, meaning they grow up with selfishness, an inability to make friends, and poor behavioral characteristics.

Despite the negative impact of technology today, its contribution to making life easier and more convenient, as well as its simplicity to use, implies that the role of technology is crucial. One useful technological gadget is the cell phone. About 82% of the United States population is estimated to have a cell phone (Campbell 3).

Such ownership implies ease of access to information and convenience in communication. Notably, pressing just a single button on the cell phone would generate a lot of helpful information for the user. For instance, using smartphones means that people can improve their linguistic abilities and ease of messaging, which are now a big part of how people communicate.

On the other hand, all these developments in the world of technology imply that human beings are losing their culture and reality with the world. Nowadays, it seems like people cannot communicate and exist with all the available gadgets, as their use has been extended from official to private. For instance, the use of computers at the office makes work easier.

However, should all the data on official documents be lost in these computers, the companies cannot operate. Secondly, people are so used to communicating through the Internet and over the phones that should these gadgets not exist anymore, they would have difficulty communicating or maintaining touch with each other (Saidam 5).

As it is, individuals have made it seem like life would end should these gadgets be absent. On the contrary, people in previous generations would communicate and maintain constant touch with each other before the gadgets were developed.

While people would use their thoughts, get into discussions, and convene to solve pertinent issues, nowadays, people surf answers to every need. The dependency on computers has made people highly vulnerable to losing their identity (Saidam 5).

Culturally, people lose track of who they are and what is acceptable for them. A lot of cultural dilution occurs with the use of technology, like the Internet. Ideally, people start to adopt what they see online and practice it in their daily lives (Anderson and Rainie 5).

For instance, some people tend to envy the Western ways of doing things more than their traditional outlook on life. Ultimately, individuals act and behave the same with the proliferation of values.

Despite the convenience created by technology, people have become too dependent on technology. Everyday life activities are managed through technological gadgets and applications. People now rely on alarms to wake up. Phones are used to check the time and for constant communication throughout the day.

Once people get to the office, they log into emails, respond to them, and later log onto social networking sites, where they spend the better part of the day. Ideally, individuals check up on their friends and families through instant messaging on Facebook.

Once they know they are fine, they hardly create time to visit them. In fact, the type of communication between families and friends is diluted to fit social circles. Back at home, children hardly go out to play because they are constantly engrossed in their play stations.

The consequence is that the children have poor social skills, perform poorly in school, and have limited problem-solving skills. People hardly put their brains to the task because they mainly rely on technology to carry out simple arithmetic functions. Individuals are growing old and suffering from memory problems, all because they exploit the application of technology and become over-reliant on technology.

According to The New York Times, the blocking of Donald Trump’s accounts by Facebook and Twitter has resulted in the de-platforming of the former president, causing him to lose much of his political influence as they were his valuable assets to wage political battles and garner political campaigns. Thus, the use of online media platforms for political campaigns and propaganda has given immense power in the hands of technology to make or break the career of any politician, thereby making them overly dependent on technology.

Furthermore, the digitalization of administrative machinery has made people overly dependent on technology. Digitalization of administrative machinery was meant to reduce red-tapism and corruption and to increase efficiency. Still, it is increasing people’s reliance on technology and making them vulnerable to cyber-attacks. For example, according to The Guardian report, the UK witnessed the biggest ransomware attack in history that crippled its national healthcare system and captured the crucial data of patients. Due to this, patients were denied healthcare facilities and appointments were cancelled. This reflects people’s over-reliance on technology as they cannot get healthcare facilities in the absence of technology. Thus, the digitalization of administrative machinery is making tech slaves and clipping their wings in the wake of technology failures.

In addition, media platforms are increasingly used by people to get political information and become aware of the happenings in the world, thereby making the masses dependent on communication technologies. Unfortunately, social media platforms and other communication technologies are also increasingly becoming the hub of spreading fake news and manipulating the masses, consuming them. According to a Pew Research Center survey, nine-out-of-ten Americans are getting political information from social media and other communication technologies, making them vulnerable to manipulation and exposure to fake news. Apart from that, in case of an internet outage, people face complete information black-out. This reflects people’s over-reliance on technology and highlights that people have become tech-dependent on getting political information. Thus, social media and communication technologies are controlling the minds of the masses and manipulating them in the name of information, leaving them with no option for getting information in case of internet outages.

Further, the excessive use of technology in the economic domain has manufactured people’s over-reliance on technology. The increased use of artificial intelligence in economic activities has made human tech slaves irrelevant in the contemporary era and has given more space to robots in manufacturing and decision-making processes. According to ‘The Economist’s report, the transport sector in California is becoming overly dependent on artificial intelligence after the introduction of Self-driving cars. Due to its efficiency and the least chances of error, the transport sector in the USA is increasingly shifting towards self-driving cars, thereby making thousands of truck drivers irrelevant and less significant in the face of evolving technology. This reflects that excessive use of artificial intelligence in the economic sector increases people’s reliance and causes many people to lose their jobs.

In addition, the automation of industries has increased the significance of technology in the world, thereby decreasing human intervention in the process. Undoubtedly, it has increased productivity and provided quality services to the people. Still, it has also made people increasingly dependent on technology during manufacturing, administration, analytics, and customer service. According to the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, robots are replacing humans in many industries worldwide, making them overly dependent on technology and decreasing the significance of humans. Thus, the automation of industries is replacing humans with machines, thereby multiplying the reliance of those industries on technology.

Information technology can also transform business processes and change their outlook. This has resulted in the expansion of e-commerce across the world, making people overly dependent on technology for carrying out their business activities. Furthermore, the interactivity attained through the internet connection has boosted e-commerce by establishing a connection between the buyer and the seller and by reducing the operational cost of running a business. All these factors have made people overly rely on technology to expand their business and establish a connection between the buyer and the seller. According to ‘The Economist’s report, the increased interactivity through the internet has established a link between the buyer and the seller and has helped small businesses to run at low operational cost. Due to this, people are becoming overly dependent on technology for carrying out their business activities. Any internet outage can potentially shut down business activities in the world. Thus, the expansion of the internet for business activities has made people dance to the tunes of technology, thereby increasing their reliance on technology.

Not only this, the expansion of online banking and the introduction of digital currencies have made people increasingly reliant on technology to carry out financial transactions. This has given increasing power to technology by allowing it to control people’s finances worldwide. In the contemporary era, the world has shifted towards online banking and has established a Central Banking System to interlink all the banking channels of the world, enabling them to make transactions by sitting in any part of the world. But its dark side is that any failure within this system would leave people without any alternative to carry out their transactions. This reflects that the increased use of technology in the economic domain has made people vulnerable and overly dependent on technology. For instance, SWIFT, a body that handles global financial transactions, blocked Iranian banks from the international financial system in the face of the USA sanctions on Iran. This disabled Iranian banks from making any transactions with the world, thereby making the Iranians unable to make financial transactions that ultimately damaged their businesses. Apart from that, the world is increasingly heading towards digital currency. Furthermore, many states in the world like EL-Salvador have legalized digital currency in a bid to decrease tangible currencies. Therefore, these factors highlight that the online banking system and the expansion of digital currencies have made people overly dependent on technology by giving control of their finances to technology and making them tech slaves.

This has resulted in creating a Virtual Family, thereby putting people in false consciousness. Due to this, people have stopped living in the moment and have no care for the real family. As a result, they depend on their virtual family to share their happiness, sorrow, and stress. According to Pew Research, nearly 90 per cent of the youth of the USA rely on their social media family to share their emotions, feelings, and anxiety. Due to this, their bonds with their real families are getting weak, and they feel left out, isolated, and rejected in case of an internet outage. This reflects that people have become tech slaves in social bonding and are increasingly relying on technology to fulfil their social and emotional needs. Thus, the excessive use of social media platforms for interactions has blurred the line between real and virtual families, making people more reliant on technology for social interactions.

Further, the technological advancement in gadgets’ daily use and incorporation into people’s lives made people overly dependent on technology. The excessive use of mobile phones and other gadgets has affected people’s social and cognitive skills. According to Pew Research, 90 per cent of Americans only remember a single phone number with their cell phone. This reflects that people are increasingly dependent on technology to carry out their day-to-day activities. In addition, the increased use of GPS has corroded people’s navigation skills and made them tech-dependent to the extent that they feel they need more internet and GPS facility. Apart from that, people are increasingly relying on virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa to perform daily activities. According to Wall Street Journal, virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa have eroded people’s cognitive abilities, patience, and mental health by making them over-dependent on such technology. Thus, the excessive incorporation of advanced gadgets in people’s daily lives has made them tech slaves.

Moreover, people are becoming overly dependent on technology due to their increasingly ease-loving lifestyle. As a result, bullet trains, self-driving cars, smart homes etc., are increasingly becoming common in today’s world. They are undoubtedly making people’s lives easy, but a single technological malfunction tends to cause a disaster, making people helpless in the face of technology. According to Ismat Tahseen, the love for a comfortable and easy-life style makes people too reliant on technology. From waking up to an alarm clock to sleeping in an air-conditioned or heated room, people are increasingly using technology to make their lives convenient. This has increasingly developed a situation where ‘living without technology is like living without air. Thus, the love for an easy lifestyle has made people tech slaves, resulting in deeply embedding of technology in their lives.

Not only in the social domain but also in the educational domain, people are becoming overly dependent on technology. The increased use of online learning platforms has made students rely on technology for learning purposes. However, in the absence of the internet, many students cannot learn, reflecting their dependence on technology for learning. For instance, many students in Malaysia skipped their school exams due to an internet outage that made them unable to join the school LMS. Thus, students are becoming overly dependent on technology for learning purposes, and technology is becoming the key decision-maker of their academic careers.

Further, the increased use of the internet in academic facilities has made the teaching staff and students overly dependent on technology. Incorporating digitally connected multimedia and smart classrooms have made technology a need rather than a want. According to The Conversation report, over-reliance on technology has made people teach slaves to the extent that schools in California let students out early because of an internet outage, as no internet means no work could be done. This reflects that the education sector has increasingly become reliant on technology and can only function properly with its assistance.

In addition to this, the expansion of online gaming platforms has made people overly dependent on technology for entertainment purposes. This has reduced the outdoor game trend and confined people, especially children, in rooms and in front of the screen. Furthermore, the increased use of online gaming platforms like Twitch, HitBox etc., is developing addiction among the youth and increasing anti-social behaviour among them. According to a UNICEF report, excessive use of online gaming platforms is developing addiction in youth and is influencing their social and academic life. According to Pew Research, children develop anxiety and depression if they are not allowed to play online games and act extremely aggressively. Thus, online gaming platforms have made people, particularly children, tech-addict, consequently enabling technology to control their behaviours.

Additionally, overreliance on technology has also affected the social lives of people. It has resulted in the disruption of interpersonal relationships and detraction from social norms. The increased use of social media platforms is chipping away at the need for people to interact with other humans in person. It has created a ‘virtual family’ concept, thereby making people ignore the actual relations around them. Due to this, people are paying no heed to the established societal norms as they are coming out of the ambit of social control. According to University College London, excessive use of mobile phones and social media platforms weaves a virtual world around a user that makes him ignorant of real-world relationships and social norms. Thus, over-dependence on technology is bringing social repercussions for people in the form of weakening of inter-personal relationships, increasing social isolation and detraction from social norms.

Moreover, excessive use of technology is increasing cyber-bullying and other cyber crimes. Hacking, stalking, cyber-harassment, cyber-bulling etc., are the cyber crimes people face in the contemporary era. According to an Al-Jazeera report, over 4.2 billion people use the internet worldwide, which accounts for 62 per cent of the global population. This increased use of information technology has made people vulnerable to cyber crimes and will likely cost the world 10.5 trillion annually by 2025. Thus, excessive use of technology has made people vulnerable to cyber-crimes and caused significant economic loss to the world.

Apart from the social repercussions of excessive use of technology, it also affects people’s mental functions and creates many psychological disorders among them. The excessive use of social media platforms allows people to post anything they want. Due to this, other people start becoming envious of the luxuries and comforts of life the other people are enjoying. As a result, the increased level of virtual envy and the quest for ‘likes’ on social media creates anxiety and depression. According to the University of Columbia, research, technology dependence is developing anxiety and depression among people as it is creating virtual envy among the masses, making them unable to sleep and focus on daily life activities. Thus, overreliance on technology is causing depression and anxiety among people and is influencing their mental health.

Further, technology dependence has led users to become completely engrossed in their mobiles. Due to this, they develop nomophobia- the fear of being away from the mobile phone- which, ultimately, creates impulsiveness, low self-esteem, mobile addiction, and sensation–seeking issues among the users. According to TrendHunter, nearly 66 per cent of the population suffers from nomophobia due to mobile addiction, causing them to lose focus and attention while performing tasks. Thus, over-dependence on technology is developing nomophobia among people, making them mobile-addict.

Moreover, technology dependence is affecting the cognitive development of people. The excessive use of social media is costing people their communication skills. Apart from that, people’s over-reliance on technology is affecting their risk assessment abilities of people. It is also affecting people’s memory as people rely on virtual memory to perform their activities. Due to this, people are experiencing a ‘brain drain’ as they cannot focus properly on work in the presence of mobile phones. According to CDC, overreliance on technology is affecting the creative abilities of people and reducing their thinking power. It also results in impaired memory and attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome among the users. Thus, over-dependence on technology is affecting the cognitive development of people and costing them their communication skills and thinking abilities.

Having discussed the excessive use of technology in political, economic, social, educational, and entertainment domains, it has become quite evident that people are becoming tech slaves and tech addicts. The incorporation of technology in every domain of life has made people fewer humans. It has given decision-making powers the hands of technology, and people appear helpless and numb if they cannot access technology. This results in social and psychological repercussions for people as it erodes their risk assessment skills, patience, and cognitive abilities and affects their interpersonal relations. It is also becoming the cause of anxiety and depression among people and makes people vulnerable to cyber crimes.

In a nutshell, people have become overly dependent on technology due to its incorporation into all domains of human life and its excessive use by them. For example, in the political domain, the expansion of online political participation and the emergence of electronic voting systems has made states unable to conduct elections without the assistance of technology. In addition, the increased use of online political campaigns and the digitalization of administrative machinery has made people tech slaves, giving power to technology to decide nations’ political fate. Moreover, due to increased use of artificial intelligence in economic activities, the rise of e-commerce, and the automation of industries have made people overly reliant on technology in carrying out economic activities. Furthermore, the increased use of social media platforms for social interaction, the advancement in daily use of gadgets, and the love for a comfortable lifestyle have made people extremely dependent on technology in such a way that for them,’ living without technology is like living without air. Additionally, the increased use of online learning platforms and the internet has made teachers and students much more reliant on technology. Apart from this, the emergence of online gaming platforms has made people tech-addict in a way that they develop anxiety and depression if they cannot access them. This technology dependence is creating many social and psychological repercussions by weakening interpersonal relations and the emergence of cyber-crimes. This also affects people’s mental abilities, leading to poor cognitive development and nomophobia.

Technology has revolutionized our lives in many ways, making everyday tasks easier, more convenient, and faster. From communication to education and healthcare, technology has made significant advancements in almost every aspect of our lives. However, as much as technology has brought us many benefits, it has also led to a growing dependence on it. People have become so reliant on technology that it has become a source of concern for many. In this essay, we will explore the extent to which people have become overly dependent on technology, the adverse effects of this dependence, and the importance of striking a balance between technology use and human interaction.

Thesis statement : Despite the many benefits of technology in our daily lives, we must be aware of the negative consequences of becoming overly dependent on it and strive to maintain a balance between technology use and human interaction.

II. Overreliance on technology in various aspects

A. communication.

Communication is one of the areas where technology has had the greatest impact. With the advent of social media and instant messaging platforms, people now have the ability to communicate with each other at the touch of a button. These platforms have made communication easier and faster. However, they have also led to a decrease in face-to-face interaction . People are now more likely to communicate with each other through a screen, rather than in person.

This shift in communication methods has led to a decline in social skills. This is because people become less confident in face-to-face interaction and more reliant on technology for communication. As a result, people are losing the ability to engage in meaningful conversations, which can have a negative impact on their relationships and personal lives.

B. Education

Education has also been greatly impacted by technology. With the advent of online learning platforms , such as zoom, students are now able to access educational resources from anywhere at any time. However, this has led to a decline in traditional classroom instruction. Students are now relying on virtual classes. This can limit their ability to interact with teachers and classmates. It is leading to a decrease in critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Moreover, students are becoming more passive learners. This is because they become used to consuming information rather than actively engaging with it. This shift in education has the potential to reduce creativity and innovation, and limit students’ ability to adapt to new challenges.
